This soundtrack is all instrumental! A typical Clint Eastwood movie soundtrack of jazz style tracks! His songs always fit the scenes they're in!

Was hoping for more of the songs you heard in movie. Did not know this was just instrumental and thought I would hear some of the oldies in the movie.

Usually I love all of Clint Eastwoods music - this was very disappointing. I will return it if possible. Sorry!

Like everyone else I wanted the original sound track that was from the movie. No words. I don't think so. I only gave it a one cause they don't have a zero. Wasted my money. In the future I will go else where for soundtracks.

Marco Beltrami has become probably one of the most versatile composers out there. He absolutely blew me away with The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada, and then floored me with 3:10 To Yuma. His score to The Hurt Locker with Buck Sanders was so perfect for the character and the story as well. With The Woman In Black he delivered as close to a perfect horror score as you can get. With Trouble With The Curve we see a side of Marco Beltrami we don't see much of. While he is able to craft intimate character studies in any genre, it's here with this drama that his music breathes a slow and soaking existence.

The central motif isn't anything fancy, but it gives the music a grounding identity. The guitar becomes the solo instrument that not only gives it a hometown rural vibe, but a human element to the entire score. The score builds character by giving us small moments of growth. There are a lot of short tracks on the score and the 40 minute running time is on the short side, but the depth is all there in full. You feel the score as it plays out, and that' s something that Marco Beltrami has really been able to accomplish in every score he does. This isn't a typical overcoming adversity to triumph type of sports movie. It's about an ailing baseball recruiter who can't see so well anymore that his daughter joins him on what may be his last recruiting trip. The warmth of the score grows as we progress and that's where the true strength of the music comes from, the warmth.

You get the sensation of "don't give up" from this score. Not in the cheesy way of "follow your dreams", but in the way of "if the world makes you feel like you've struck out then who the hell cares". Marco Beltrami does a lot with a little in this score, and in the smallness of the music comes big emotions.

We hoped it would have more of the music we loved in the movie. Seemed to have only background material. But we love the one song at the end.

This certainly was not what I expected. If i had read the reviews first I would not have purchased! The soundtrack with singing is great IMHO. This is not. As someone else said this should get zero stars * but you are forced to give one
