About the Author
Michael Knights is a London-based associate of the Washington Institute, specializing in the military and security affairs of Iraq, Iran, and the wider Persian Gulf. He is the author of Cradle of Conflict: Iraq and the Birth of Modern U.S. Military Power (2005) and editor of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the New Iraq (2004).
