Mark D. Williams has published hundreds of articles and photos the last twenty years in magazines, newspapers, online publications including Texas Sporting Journal, Backpacker, Men's Health, Dallas Morning News, Cowboys and Indians, Southwest Fly Fishing, ESPN, SPORT, Gorp.com, Outdoorsite.com, Texas Fish and Game, Baseball Digest, Amarillo Globe News and many more. He is the fishing expert for Tibesti.com and Away/Gorp.com.

Williams has published numerous books including So Many Fish So Little Time: The 1001 Best Places on Earth to Fish from Harper Collins (agent David H Smith, DHS Literary and Inkwell Management). Other books include Trout Fishing Sourcebook, The Backpacking Flyfisher, Flyfishing Southwestern Colorado, Knots for Flyfishers and Freshwater Flyfishing Tips from the Pros (Fireside/Simon and Schuster.) He and his wife Amy wrote two books with Wayfinder Press (top 30 Things to Do in Durango, Top 30 Things to Do in Telluride.) Williams has two books out this last year: Colorado Flyfishing: Where to Eat, Sleep and Fish co-written with Chad McPhail, published by Johnson Books out right now and doing great; and So You Want to FlyFish? also co-written with Chad McPhail, published by Fell Publishers, due out this summer. His mysterious twisting novel is now on Kindle, The Bedside Diaries. Williams is now also an iPad/iPhone app author -- his app, Freshwater Flyfishing From the Pros has 250 tips and 1000 photos from all the big names in the sport and many from guys and gals in the trenches, the ones who guide newbies daily.

Williams has traveled the world but finds himself more and more fishing small streams in New Mexico and Colorado and working on his second novel. He also teaches high school English and Speech at North Heights Alternative School in Amarillo Texas. He and his students have written two books, Voices From the Heights and Paintings on the Walls. A third book with NHAS Students is now on Kindle, Voices and Paintings From the Heights.

THIS BOOK IS SIMPLY BRILLIANT. ANYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FLYFISHING IS IN THIS BOOK. MY WHOLE LIFE HAS IMPROVED SINCE I HEARD ABOUT THIS BOOK. ON A RECENT TRIP TO DURANGO,COLORADO AFTER CATHING OVER 35 FISH ON A BOOK RECOMENDED STREAM WITH A BOOK RECOMENDED FLY I MET MY PRESENT FIANCE. I HAVE HAD THE PRIVLEDGE OF MEATING THIS EXTRODINARY MAN IN PERSON. IT WAS LIKE TALKING TO A GOD, THIS MAN IS WALKING BRILLIENCE. I AM SURE THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE LIKE IT DID MINE.
