4.0 out of 5 stars Best succinct guide to SE MN streams
This 'little book', in its second edition, provides the trout fisher with a concise guide to some favorite streams of the "Driftless Area" of Minnesota. Limestone spring creeks abound. 2.0 out of 5 stars Not Much for Hard Core Fishing Info.
This book, like Humphrey and Shogren's, was a waste of money. It does nothing for me as an avid and expert trout angler of southeast Minnesota. Therfore, it would only be somewhat relevant to a person who doesn't know what a trout is.

5.0 out of 5 stars The First and Best Book on Southeast Minnesota, February 13, 2004

This review is from: Trout Fishing in Southeast Minnesota (Paperback)
I wouldn't fish without this book! This is a beautiful area of Minnesota and it deserves to be explored. It's also easy to get lost, so this book is key to finding your way around. And unlike any of the other books that have come out since this one, every single trout stream is in this book. In fact, some of the best streams were left out of Mickey Johnson's book and also Humphrey & Shogren's book! Who wants a book that doesn't include every stream? It's also less expensive than the other books.

This book is the standard for trout fishing books on this area. John's written more than half a dozen fishing books. He knows what he's talking about. I always have a copy of this book in my truck! You should too!
