In this well written book, Kit Deubler shares with the reader his 30 years of experience in fishing for native brook trout in remote, pristine spring ponds in northern Wisconsin. He explains the unique ecosystem of spring ponds that have supported breedable populations of brook trout since the Pleistocene.He explains in detail, techniques that have been successful in catching these ellusive, Wisconsin native brook trout. In chapter 7 he lists the spring ponds by counties and includes detailed directions into 15 selected spring ponds.This book is the "bible" for fishing these remote spring ponds for native brook trout.
