I am a guide and fly fisherman in SE Minnersota and still refer to this book when I explore new water. Almost as good as having a guide with you. Mel Hayner MINNESOTAFLYFISHING.COM

This book is fantastic. The author literally fished almost every stream and wrote about them. The book is filled with photos and maps to help get a visual on what he is describing about each stream. I also found helpful the places to stay and eat he suggested. Make notes of your own next to each stream he wrote about. A must have when scouting new trout streams.

Summer of 2012 found me in Minnesota, 1700 miles from home. Despite the fact this book was last published in 2001, the $$$ I paid for this book was the best money I ever spent. Now I don't want to leave.

This book is not the greatest book in the world, the maps leave a little to be desired and don't have great detail. The book has no pictures, but overall nothing like it exists making it a very useful and invaluable tool. Pair it with a Delorme atlas for Wisconsin and Minnesota and you'll be golden. Glad I bought it.

This book is a must have book for any trout angler that either lives in or frequents the Minnesota/Wisconsin Driftless Area.. Great information and maps on where to access and get your feet wet.. I reference this book when looking to get away from my comfort streams and try some new water.

I purchased this book last year as I started getting into fly fishing for trout and have found this book to be invaluable. The information provided in this little soft cover book helped me plan trips to new streams, and provided a nicer overview, map and history of some of the more popular streams. This book is a must read for any one new to trout fishing.
