Orignal vocal artist captures the essence of Spanish folk music., February 17, 2011

Marta Topferova's latest work is another wonderful masterpiece for the artistic listener. Lots of unique percussion as well as hypnotizing and cathartic vocals in the tradition of Spanish folk. Marta's unique voice has a resonance and emotion that reminds me of the sounds of Miles Davis and how subdued his trumpet playing was especially the music on the Kind of Blue record. (a very laid back feel) I really dig the flamenco influences and the gypsy violin on the album 'Trova'. I highly recommend this for the artistic jazz and world music listener.
I also find that her music really soothes the baby/and toddlers in my household. Very good music for nighttime sleep.
