after 4 years it still starts right up. Its always had plenty of power to get the job done. the gearing mechanism by the head recently stripped out and I had to purchase a replacement. the part was easily found on Troy Bilts website and it was not overly expensive; 27 dollars with shipping. $27.00 isn't bad for the first bit of maintenance done in 4 years in my opinion.

It looks beefy, but I found that the brush cutter isn't very strong. Isn't hasn't broken, but just slow to cut down the brush. The trimmer portion is great so far, no problems. It is difficult to start.

The only reason I'm giving this piece of junk 2 stars instead of 1 is that it actually started. After about 20 mins of doing work and turned it off i went to another part of the yard to continue and it wouldn't start up again. I had planned at least the majority part of the day slated for yard work so you can imagine my frustration now i have to take this expensive, highly rated junk pile to a weed wacker specialist so that i can get reamed yet again for more money!
