GREAT UNIT!,

This review is from: Troy-Bilt TB4BP 32cc 4-Stroke Gas Powered 150 MPH Back Pack Blower (Lawn & Patio)
This is a very powerfull unit. It even blows wet leaves. I can clear a 6-8 foot path very easily. It has started on the first pull every time. Having the gas and oil seperate makes life easier. It is not very loud and is very comfortable to wear. The tubes were a little tough twisting together. I would recommend this unit.

This review is from: Troy-Bilt TB4BP 32cc 4-Stroke Gas Powered 150 MPH Back Pack Blower (Lawn & Patio)
I liked this item from the start. It came out of its shipping box needing minor assembly. After filing the sump with the supplied oil and regular gas in the tank,(no mix required as it is aa 4-cycle engine), I followed the 1-2-3 directions, then gave the starter rope 5 or 6 easy pulls and the machine was running for the first time. After allowing the engine to warm for a couple of minutes, I swung the unit up into the 'back-pack' position, easily by myself. The controls were comfortable to operate, so I proceeded to blow off my driveway. The amount of air flow was more than adequate for the job, with a lot lower noise level than others I have used. The one minor draw back that I encountered was that there is apparently some sort of governor on the engine that regulates the engine to a seemingly lower RPM than neccessary. The power allowed was more than adequate for my applications and did keep the noise to a minimum. (no high-pitched whine)Troy-Bilt 32cc 4-Cycle Gas Powered Backpack Blower with Padded Harness #TB4BP
I am looking forward to several years of great service from this product

This review is from: Troy-Bilt TB4BP 32cc 4-Stroke Gas Powered 150 MPH Back Pack Blower (Lawn & Patio)
This is a good entry-level backpack leaf blower. For $220, it is way cheaper than the $400-$500 commercial units. The blower itself looks to be really good construction. I have a Troy-Bilt 4-cycle weed wacker, and love it. I unpacked the leaf blower, twisted the tubes together, and it started on the first pull. The tubes are a little difficult to twist together, but if you're having a tough time with two particular sections, try switching up the order you install. This seemed to help for me.
The operation of blower works well. I have fairly long arms, so the positioning of the trigger is perfect for me, but if you're particularly short, you might find the trigger is a little farther away than you prefer...however, I think this will be the case with any blower. I agree with another reviewer about the governor...I'm a little bit underwhelmed by the power, and it's because the governor is set pretty low. I know these engines have a peak RPM, but I feel that the governor could easily be adjusted to run at least a 50% higher RPM, and it would produce way more air. I wish I knew if these governors were adjustable somehow. I think you'd have to take the carb apart and mess around with the governor springs. If someone knows how to do this, please post! Thanks
