This blower proves the point that wind speed should never be the deciding factor in blower purchases. Though rated at 150 MPH it does a better job at moving leaves than the Husquavarna rated at 205 MPH. The CFM's are a better measure and this unit is rated a 400 CFM. The unit is considerably quieter than a 2 cycle unit. It isn't any heavier than the better 2 cycle units; and based on past usage of 4 cycle vs. 2 cycle small engines, it will probably last a lot longer. Finally, not haveing to mix gas for it is a blessing.

Out of the box started on the 1st pull. Sufficient oil in the crank and came with an extra bottle of oil. The feel of this unit is solid; the amount of air this moves is impressive for its size and cost. I evaluated a Husquavara and a Miata and did tons of research on all before I bought this one for about $200.00. I owned a craftsman and an Echo. I blow leaves and all kinds of dirt and mulch daily. This is definitely a step up for a pure blower that I wanted not a hybrid blower\vac. The 4 stroke pushes lots of air without the high RPM of a 2 stroke. If feels deceptive but it was better them my craftsman's and echoes over the past 20 years. Miata has some bad reviews and the 2 strokes always have issues sooner than later. I took a chance with this unit because it's a troy built and relied on the reputation and some reviews and so far am very pleased. No torqueing with side mount fans , moves lots of air has plenty of power and doesn't wind out, doesn't smoke or stink, feels like a quality unit and in the right price range and fits my requirements. A good smart buy.

This is an excellent leaf blower not requiring the blending of oil with gas. Starts promptly every time.
