This is my first Marco Antonio Solis CD, and I'm overjoyed. It's superb. The songs are incredibly romantic baladas (mostly about lost love), with beautiful moving lyrics and flowing melodies, sung with Solis' unique, tremulous voice, which I find very pleasing and amazingly expressive. The production and gorgeous, lush arrangements are by the terrific Bebu Silvetti.

All 10 songs have approximately the same tempo, so this is a very relaxing, peaceful CD, lovingly written and performed. My favorites are the sad and tender "Sigue Sin Mi" (yes, I wept salty tears !), "Inventame" and "El Peor de Mis Fracasos".

The booklet is lovely. A class act package, with 12 photos of Solis, readable lyrics, and good layout. Marco Antonio, you have new fan !

I can't even begin to convey the beauty of this album; it will simply break your heart.

(Even if you don't speak Spanish, you'll love it.... My friends and family are all obsessed with this CD, and not a one of them has any idea what he's singing about).

Buy it. It's the best you'll ever find.

This qalbum is truly a master piece. All the tracks are wonderful and the sounds are so relaxing and pleasing that you'll fall in love with this album from the first time you listen to it. Marco's soft voice and the way he sings the songs with such passion, really make you get into his music and take you to a place of comfortness and lovelyness. I can't say anything bad about this album because there really isn't any flaw in it. From the first track to the last one, this album guides you in such a way that is incredible. This artist makes you think about love and about things in life that you really only see in movies. You can tell that Marco Antonio writes his lyrics with a deep meaning that comes from the heart. This Album is only one of many that he has made that touch you and make your love stronger. I love music and specially the knid of music that I can listen to and relax and this album does that and then some. I highly recommend this album, even if you don't understand spanish. Just by listening to the sounds, specially the Violins, you can appreciate the album. This is truly one Latino artist, who should be topping all kinds of charts. Forget Ricky Martin, Ricky has nothing compared to Marco Antonio Solis. This is what real music is all about. Thanks a lot Marco for being so gifted and sharing your thoughts and feeling with us.

Can't get much better than this for love songs. Except, of course, for another of his CDs.

Even if you don't speak Spanish, this album overcomes the language barrier. Passion is understood without words! Just close your eyes, sway and get carried away.

The Album Trozos Di Mi Alma was recommended to me by a friend who knew I loved world music and was becoming more increasingly interested in Latin music. This album was all that he said it was, and more. It is astonishingly beautiful and lush - from the use of orchestral arrangements, particularly the violins, to the tender vocals - I have shared it with several friends, all of whom love the music.

This is a gifted musician and vocalist - not well known in the US, but that is our fault, not his. Many of the selections deserve our attention. I can only say that if you love the quiet beauty of the Spanish language,the warm romanticism of tender love songs, and lush complementary orchestration, you will greatly enjoy this album. Try it - you won't be disappointed. I could not rate it higher as the scale only goes to 5 or I would! A truly romantic album - perfect for when the lights are low, the wine is chilled, and love is in the air!

WOW, THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL GOOD MUSIC , I MEAN BY JUST LISTENING TO THIS CD YOU FALL IN LOVE RIGHT AWAY. THE SONGS ARE BEAUTIFULL , HIS VOICE IS RARE AND UNIQUE , AND THE RYTHM IS ONE OF A KIND. MARCO ANTONIO IS ONE OF LATIN'S MOST LOVED ARTISTS , HIS CDS ARE DONE WITH A LOT OF HARD WORK TO BRING THE BEST THERE IS IN ROMANTIC MUSIC. AND NOW I ONLY HAVE TWO THING TO SAY: FOR YOU OUTHERE:DON'T THINK IT TWICE,AND FOR MARCOS AND HIS CREW : KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING ,WE THE FANS LOVE IT.

If you can understand Spanish: load the album on your iPod, lay down on the couch with good headphones, get taken away into a sweet sad world, and be in tears by track 5.

If you don't understand Spanish, I'm sure you'll still appreciate the sounds (and, if you're female and/or so inclined, the photos of Marco), and maybe you'll get inspired to learn some Spanish so you can enjoy the poeticism of the lyrics! ;-)

I'm collecting everything this amazingly gorgeous singer has made in the last few years. First heard him on a Spanish station. All I could understand was it was someone named Antonio....finally found him using sound clips from Amazon. [...] it feels so good to listen to such a sweet yet powerful voice; one that can sooth {and lower blood pressure} I wish he would tour all over the USA.
May his career become even more wonderful...I've never heard a more beautiful voice and such terrific songs. Even if one speaks little Spanish, his music can be felt.

This is the most romantic album in any language. The music is soft and relaxing; the strings are beautiful. Marco Antonio Solis' voice matches the sentiment in the finest album he's released in his long career. The album impressed me so much that I sent a cassette to a friend in the United States who doesn't know Spanish. His response was that the music itself is so expressive one doesn't need to know Spanish to enjoy it.
