I use the item as a forearm support, and it works well. For me, it would be too bulky as a wrist support (would wrap too many times around my wrist).

Replacing an old set,

I have a set I've used for years to protect my wrists. They were and still are pretty durable, but look to be in worst shape than they really are. This is to replace the old set. Both works the same and are comfortable, easy to adjust. The new ones are aerated, my old set was not, hope they'll still be as durable and last as long.
