As a life long outdoorsman and veteran I found this to be an ideal jacket for deer and squirrel hunting. Solid construction and perfect multi-cam camo. The matching pants are equal in quality and construction. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a BDU shirt, in Crye Precision Multicam. I ordered mine XXL-Long, hoping to get extra length at the bottom to drape my hips--I got it. Pretty comfortable, durable and warm shirt. I might have gone with the ACU jacket but my problem is, the Army is going to phase out the velco--they've already said so--just not exactly when. So, ACU's will have buttons sooner or later (correct me if I am wrong please). And it's not like the pockets on the BDU jacket are outdated tech. The pockets are pretty deep and come with easily maintained and quiet plastic buttons.

I have an ACU jacket in poly-cotton ripstop with the hook and loop fasteners all over it and what a pain in the rear to keep clean to ensure proper functioning. Plus, the plastic eyelets will sooner or later wear out, rendering it's closure ability impaired until repaired. It seemed like a neat idea, but, velco is not great and is harder to care for and more complex and time consuming to replace than buttons--not to mention gratuitously loud--without taking slow, special care to open.

Multicam is some cool camo and really plays games with the eyes depending on what colors are around you. I like this BDU shirt and its print and use it as part of my multi-purpose biking, hiking, and martial arts practice apparel. I appreciate the distinctive and visually tricksy multicam pattern and how it gives me a low visual impact when I am on the beach or in the woods.

I've already used this jacket several times since I've bought it; during those hunting trips, the jacket kept me very warm and took a good beating when I'd brush through trees, bushes, tall grass, and other large plant life. The camouflage works quite well for forest/mountain settings, as the jacket's colors reflect an array of woodland wild life. You probably won't benefit much from using this jacket in a rain forest or desert terrain. Otherwise, it's pretty good- made of very good material, and looks good enough to last many years, with proper care.

If you're a hunter, I highly advise you to consider this jacket.
