5.0 out of 5 stars Stars book rates Stars from me
The Sky Is Full of Stars is an excellent and informatiive book for primary age kids. It gives lots of information about the night sky and constellations in an easy to understand format for children. Kids can take this book outside and find constellations following the directions in the book. I can't wait to use it in my second grade classroom!

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing
i thought this would be a book about stars! (not surprisingly, given the title). it's actually a book about constellations. it talks about seeing pictures in stars and lists a few common constellations and when to look for them. it has pretty much no information on stars themselves. i wasn't surprised that my daughter wasn't particularly interested. why not have a book...

This is an uninspired book. There were a few very interesting pages that the author seemed to spend some actual time on. Beyond that, naming the constellations does not make for very engaging kids reading. There are better choices for young astronomers.

Yet another hit from the series..DD absolutely loved this book and how it showed various constellations. Although it is way over her head (she's in K through a virtual public school) she has requested it nightly and traces the constellations with her fingers.
Of course, now she wants a telescope haha..
We love these books as extra reading for our homeschool/cyber school teaching plan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this series; this one good too, April 17, 2010

We have a small library of the Lets Read and Find Out series, so we knew we would like the book. Even with that, we were pleasantly surprised with this one. It is about constellations more than different kinds of stars. Our first experiences with stars are with the bright points in the sky and the patterns they make. It takes a telescope and some experience to be interested in differentiating the types of stars. The Sky is Full of Stars has information little ones can identify with.

I was looking at this book and considering buying it. I wanted a good look at a couple of pages inside to see if it was the right book for us. Unfortunately, the publisher has requested that NO inside pages be shown! Even when I click on "surprise me" there are no samples of the pages inside. How on earth can I make an informed decision if I have no information? This lack of information makes me suspicious. Is there a reason why they don't want pages shown? Maybe the book isn't very good.

So, publisher, because of the lack of information I am not purchasing this book. Something to consider. You could have made a sale.
