We borrowed this book and I Like Cats by P. Hubbell from our library. My children, 5 and 2, loved both. They loved them so much that I checked them out a second time. Finally I just ordered them. Now over a year latter they both still love these books. We have a lot of books but this book and the cat one are chosen for night time books about once a week. The writting is so fun and poetic.

This is a great truck book for those who can't get enough trucks. It contains a rhyming enumeration of a huge number of trucks that you might see on the road. The pictures are quite detailed, and show some rather interesting drivers. This book is not at all scary- -it makes a great bedtime book. It has about 250 words.

We took this out of the library many times before I finally bought my three-year old son his own copy. The illustrations are really charming, and the text is so fun to read. He studies the pictures and enjoys the rhymes each time we read it. Truly a new classic! A must for everyone who not only likes trucks, but loves to look at detailed, perfect illustrations!

This book (and all the other books in the series from the same author) because of rhymes is good for learning English as second language. My son at 3 years (his main language is Polish) picks up on the rhythm of the rhymes. We like Patricia Hubbell's BOATS and AIRPLANES books even more than TRUCK and TRAIN books. From the BOATS book my son learned directions...boats go North, South, East , West ...the theme repeats in all the books. In BOATS and AIRPLANES illustrations are more surprising and lighter color scheme than in later two books. We read these books over and over and both I and my son never get bored reading them.

Great book, I must have read this one atleast 100 hundred times and he still request me to read it. Pages rip easily though and had to tape them over many times.

This is a wonderful book with great rhymes. This book is a favorite in our house! Fun pictures and great story sure to please car and truck lovers.

This is a great read aloud book with good rhythym and rhyme. The illustrations amuse Mom and Son alike.

We got this book out of the library and it's such a big hit I had to buy one not only for my kids but also for my sister's two boys. My 2 and 4 year old son and daughter LOVE this book. I can hardly read it because on each page they take so long looking at the pictures and laughing at the truck drivers. Their favorites are the snowman driving the ice cream truck and the ghost driving the pumpkin truck. Whenever I can actually get through a page of text without being interrupted by many comments on the pictures, they enjoy the rhyming text. I highly recommend this book.
