Trudeau's 7-piece chocolate fondue set is a basic starter kit; it's small enough for apartment settings, and its basic black-and-white look can fit in with just about any kitchen or dining scheme. A chocolate fondue is traditionally served with cubes of pound cake and sliced or whole fruits such as apples, pears, bananas, or strawberries. The white stoneware bowl has a broad, scalloped rim; besides being a decorative touch, the concavities in the scalloping offer convenient places to scrape excess chocolate from dipped pieces of cake or fruit. Each stainless steel fondue fork has a black-and-white plastic handle to shield hands from heat. The heavy-duty black wire stand has four sturdy feet ending in ball finials with no sharp, scratchy edges.
