This is the greatest gadget - it's fun using it over salads, in skillets or pots over the stove --anyplace you love cracked pepper. I totally recommend it; in fact, I'm ordering another one to use with sea salt so I have a matching set.

Love the pepper mill. Bought one for myself and one as a gift. Especially like the size. Unlike a previous one I had, it's not top heavy and easily knocked over. The shorter height is ideal.

This mill is great for pepper and sea salt. My friends all love it, and are always asking where to get it. It is getting harder to find. I recommend buying at least 2 for yourself. It is also a good idea to buy several to give as gifts! My friends are always happy to get their own mill.

Update: 3/5/2011: This item is still working great and we have used it daily since 2006. It uses about 2 sets of batteries per year with dailey use. Very impressive. Still looks great too.

This is a great little gadget. I bought it because I was getting tired of grinding pepper when say a recipe called for 2 Tablespoons of fresh ground pepper. It works great and I have retired my old grinder to the cabinet above the stove.

Advise: get rechargeable batteries for this. 4 AAA batteries will be consumed faster than you would think due to the amount of power required to grind pepper. I use 4 Duracell 1000 mah NiMH's. 1000 mah is good for an AAA battery at this time. I got them packaged with 6 AA 2650 mah NiMH's and a charger at BJ's.

This little item is superb. I love coarse ground pepper and it does it right.

I'd never even thought of an electric pepper grinder until this came up as a recommendation on Amazon. I bought one based on the reviews. It's the best pepper grinder I've ever owned or used. I, too, recharge batteries, so battery life is not an issue. Still, I've used this at almost every meal for a few weeks and haven't had to change them yet.

I have several of these because I like all kinds of different salts. I do live in a very dry climate, so have never had problems with clogging. Really do like the ease of use.

This is a handy little mill which works great for both salt and pepper.

It works very well. Doesn't grind out too much at once and very easy to use.

Excellent product. Batteries are easy to install. Works very efficient and like the feature to change the coarseness. Would highly recommend as a present. Great gadget for any kitchen.
