I was throwing a summer babyshower for my sister, and I decided the theme would be "Summer Treats", as her baby would be born in June. So, of course, I set out to make lemonade, limeade, icetea, and other delicious summer musts! I saw these on at a pricey local store for nearly double the price! Being on a budget, I hmmphed and went on my way. While I was looking for a diaper bag on amazon, I decided to look and see if they had these! Viola, another instance where Amazon saved my day, and in this case, my party! These where a HUGE hit. I ordered two sets (Four trays) and I recieved an orange, a yellow, a pink, and a lime green tray! They froze fast and evenly, and came out like carved ice! PERFECT! I recieved SO many compliments on the ice and everyone was curious where I got them. I'm sure they'd be great in cocktails, and even soft drinks! FANTANSTIC PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this only to find that the thickness of the ice cube is only 1/4 inch. I like the idea, but the thickness NEEDS TO BE THERE! what is the purpose of freezing something if it melts as soon as you pour something over it! Another thing, popping them out of the silicone, not easy. I still like the shape mind you, but it's still a bit disappointing for the amount of money you pay. Just moved into my first apartment and was using old Safeway yogurt cups for ice makers. They come out like hockey pucks and last a long time! I still prefer them.

I would have given these 5 stars if not for the fact that they

are difficult to get out of the mold. I found the best way

is to make sure they are filled to the very top when you freeze them,

and then when it's time to eject them, make sure you push up from below,

directly in it's center, while at the same time pulling up one of

the corners and pull it out. However, if you want to eject ALL

at the same time for a punch bowl,etc....then dip the bottom of

the mold in some warm or cold water for a few seconds and then

knock them out into a pan, they should release.

Otherwise, they are cute, detailed, but they do melt fast.
