Very practical!,

This clip is awesome! I gave it as Christmas gifts to my mom and mother in law and they love it! Very practical - great for making soups/stews or anything that requires stirring. The only thing is that if you have pots with a groove on the edge - may or may not work as the edge needs to be more straight for the clip to stay on.

I purchased this item and found another use for it. I have the pots that can go from the stove top into the oven. Unfortunately that means that they have a tight seal when you put the lid on. I can clip this lid to the pot and then put the lid back on. Viola, now the lid stays slightly open while I cook things without the worry of the contents bubbling up and spilling out! Works great!

This is a cleaver idea marred by a design which allows for only a certain type of spoon handle: it must be round and not too thick. Unfortunately I have a number of spoons and spatulas which don't fit into this device, making it of limited use.

Amazing,

This little gadget is the best thing to come on the market since widgets. It doesn't look like much but the spoon fits easily in it and all the drippings fall right back in the pot rather than on a spoon holder on the stove. For anything without lids it is amazing.

I got this item as a free item at a local store and I really enjoy this item! I like this one because the clip has soft grips where it touches your pan so it's ok to use with nonstick. I use it regularly!

I picked a few of these up some time ago and I am not disappointed. They are great for their designed purpose, holding a spoon so it stays handy and drips back into the pot, as well as for other mess-saving uses.
Many pots and pans have very tight fitting lids. These don't allow steam (and nutrients) to escape, but they also sometimes result in boil-over situations. Clip this on the side and it holds the lid open just enough to prevent this but still allows the lid to be on enough to retain most of the heat. One word of caution from "Mr. Obvious". If your pan is a smaller diameter, the utensil held in the clip can get hot from the burner, especially if it's a gas stove, resulting in burned fingers if you aren't careful. Common sense for some, for some...well, you've been warned. :-) I wish I'd thought of this idea. Try one, and get a few to share with your cooking friends!

Simple & Useful,

I am no a fan of spoon rests. I just hate to see them stored on the range, don't know why. My aunt places dirty spoons on a glass cutting board next to the stove. I hate that too. What I had been using was a saucer. I set it on the stove while cooking and it went into the cabinet with its brothers when I was done. Then I picked up a pot clip. I wish I'd purchased more than one! It takes up less space and neatly stores your dirty utensils. All of my pots are All-Clad and this works great. Dishwasher safe. This would make a much-appreiciated stocking stuffer.

Made well but, awkward to use. I would not purchase it again. Went back to using a small dish I purchased (at a yard) sale as a spoon rest. Cost? .25 Go figure...

Yes it works, but it is not versitle at all!
Yes this POT clip not a pan clip as you will see when you try it out has many requirements and very little if no verstaility in the Kitchen. This only works well on pots. And With a name like Pot Clip ummm yeah they named it that for a reason! It's not the Pan/Pot clip so I wasa little off to assume it would work on just about any pan or pot I owned! Opps. It's for sraight edge pots and for cooking when you don't need a cover and you have the right size spoon to fit in the clip. If your pots have that C shape at the top it wont work. Most of us have pots and pans of many different shaped edges/lips. In order for this to work you must have a straight edge/lip pot. Which many of us have which is the good news. Pots like The Large Rachel Ray Enamel Pot(the bright orange one) I can use the clip on. However, if you want to put the lid cover on to cook a sauce you have to take the Pot Clip off. So with that said you will still need to put your spoon in a spoon holder or on the counter with a napklin. By not being able to put on the cover it looses a star. What good is it if you can only use it to cook items that you do not cover. So say good bye to this clip for boiling anything, cooking rice, stews, sauces or anything else that needs a cover. Yes we all know we can use it to start the cooking before the cover goes on, but really if you are going to be using the spoon holder or counter top already whats the point since you are going to dirty it up anyways. My guess is that you can still use the clip for at least 50% of the time which still is not too shabby, but there still is the obstical of that straght edge pan. The trouble is most pans have that C shape edge no matter how flat or wide. And You would think this is made to still work around that problem so you can use the clip to set a spatula in. Well if the spatula handel is thin enough to fit in the clip(most are not). So yes you can finagle it but it really does not work at all on a pan. So for me it is just not versatile enough and I just don't use it at all. It only works with two of my pots and I cover these pots when I cook so it's in a drawer never to be used again! LOL

Great little gadget,
This review is from: Trudeau Pot Clip Spoon Rest (Kitchen)
This is a cool and practical little gadget. Great if your dish requires a lot of stirring - soups, sauces, risotto, etc. No more messy spoon rests or counter tops.
I keep mine clipped to the side of my utensil pot for easy access. I've also used it to hold recipes and hang it from my cabinet door handle for easy and hands free recipe reading! |
