I have actually ordered this item twice - once for a gift and then for me because I really liked them. Both orders arrived broken the first time and had to be resent which delayed the gift item.

I wrote and called and noted that no cushioning was provided these very delicate plates. Evidently, I wasn't heard the first time, because when I ordered several months later, the same problem happened again (broken plate - needed return).

Really fun product. Bigger than I was expecting, which is good, because they looked tiny in the picture.

Only complaint is that the manufacturer box they came in was in terrible shape. Unglued, faded, incredibly worn and falling apart. If you are planning on gifting, you will need to place them in a new box.

I ordered these dishes with the intention of giving them as a gift. I received this product in a timely fashion, however when I opened the box one of the plates was cracked right in half. The packaging is very poor. The box that the dishes came in looks as if it was beaten to death which would have made it extremely embarrassing to give as a gift. I would not recommend ordering these if you are planning on giving them to someone else.

Exactly what I've been looking for!!!!
Heavy duty nice plates, keeps bread separate from the oil. I use them weekly!

Really love these plates. I first bought them for a wine and cheese party I was hosting, and have been using them for both parties and regular dinners at home. We put balsamic vinegar in the largest well, then salt and pepper in the other ones. Then we pour olive oil onto the plate itself and sprinkle basil over the oil. Allows for guests to pick which ingredients in the dipping oil that they want. Could also just put ingredients in the wells and then bread on the plate part. The only complaint is that the bottoms of the plates are a little rough - not glazed and fired like the top. Makes me concerned they'll scratch my table. Otherwise, love them!
