my favorite 6fu cd,

Six Feet Under is pretty much a collection of some high points an awful lot of boring points, and some really low points. This CD has most of my personal favorite high points. Impulse To Disembowel, The Day the Dead Walked, It Never Dies, The Murderers, Knife Gun Axe, Sick and Twisted. The other songs aren't so much boring or bad as just not any of the songs I just mentioned. One Bullet Left(featuring Ice-T) is totally hilarious. People whine about a rapper in a death metal song. I don't. I figure Chris Barnes smokes too much pot to know any better, and he did it moderately well.
To me, this album seems a lot different than their others. A lot deeper. I like that.

Totally Violent Angry Death Metal!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: True Carnage (Dig) (Audio CD)
Everything is there....the Chunky Slow Death Riffs, The evil growls and screams, the fist pumping drum beats. I must say that this album is better than Maximum Violence. Chris Barnes's vocals make you want to choke someone until they are blue in the face! These guys are the masters of simplicity. The music is not very technical but is played so intense and fierce that you cant help but get into it. Every track is good on this one. There is even a song with Ice-T in it! Beware...This album is not for the weak hearted!

True Carnage?,
By Buzz N' Frog (Shelbyville, KY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: True Carnage (Dig) (Audio CD)
I am disapointed with this album especially Six Feet Under's "Maximum Carnage". True Carnage gets off to a pretty good start. "Impulse To Disembowel" the opening track is very good and very heavy. It's sounds like their guitarist borrowed Zakk Wylde of the band "Black Label Society"'s guitar squeals, but the song is still good and heavy. "The Day The Dead Walked" is a full on thrash fest as thei drummer goes all out with pummeling blast beats. "It Never Dies" probably has some of the fanciest guitar work that you will on "True Carnage", but when compared to their peers "Cannibal Corpse" Six Feet Under just prove that this is no more than typical kiddie carnage. Six Feet Under are a very good band if you are looking for a death metal band that is very fun to listen to, but as far as the music Six Feet Under are not a good band by any means of stretch of the imagination as their music pretty simple, but they have really improved as far as musicians since their debut album "Haunted". Don't let their musicianship fool you, because Six Feet Under are no Limp Bizkit. The solos for the songs on this album fit very well with the music, but this is what I thought was really disapointing about "True Carnage". The song "One Bullet Left" features Ice-T. What kind of death metal band writes songs about smoking pot and features rap artist in their songs? I don't know, but wether you want to listen to Six Feet Under or not you decide.
