This review is from: True Colours (Paperback)
I only started watching soccer...err, football a little over two years ago and support a team playing in the top-flight professional English league. I became very interested in the different kits (uniforms) each team wore and the varying colors and styles they selected.
This book is a history of the home, away, and other uniforms supplied to the teams of the Premier League since its inception over a decade ago. Some of the teams have been relegated to lower leagues now, but each is given fair and equal treatment by the author. Care is given to detail the how and why changes were made to uniforms, including the introductions of new eye-catching materials in the early 1990's and the changing sponsors listed on the team jerseys.
For fans of one team or collectors of sport memorabilia, this is a necessary book to buy.
