Why did Trevor lie to her about where he was? Susannah questions the entire foundation of her marriage because of her dead husband's deceit. Nathan is the local chief of police helping Susannah learn the difficult truth. He has his own troubles dealing with the pregnant widow since he lost his own pregnant wife and child five years before. Neither of them expected to fall in love.
This is a sweet story about a pregnant woman investigating the curious circumstances surrounding her husband's death. The author offers enough detail to make the reader want to take a deeper look into her own circumstances. |
