4.0 out of 5 stars The Root of All Evil
In True to the Game III by Teri Woods, Gena's life is at stake. Out of the gate, she is attacked and an unknown hero comes to save her. After the assault, she awakened in a strange bed, in an unfamiliar home and with little clues to what exactly happened. Gena had many unanswered questions. But one question was more important when she stood ace-to-face with her...

1.0 out of 5 stars Can I give it a ZERO?!?!
This book was not good at all. Boring. Slow. Who were these characters because I did not recognize them from True to the Game? Gena was dumb and clueless. Quadir was Captain Save a H** at all the right times. And the book wasn't even about them. More time was spent on the corrupt cops and Jerrell's deranged twin. Unbelievable. My only question is WHY? 1.0 out of 5 stars I'm Shocked It ain't live up to its hype, June 27, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
I was happy like a kid in the candy store when i got it and my excitement left like "poof". The Explanation was good. But quadir was acting slow he didn't know if he wanted a woman who saved his life or a chick he loved before his "Death". They put time into that explanation but the rest of that book was thrown together.

One is a classic. 2 was almost there and 3. Look Terri, You need a better ghost writer or you should have paid them more. This book is suppose to be about quadir and gena. Not all these new chracters.

Someone needs to understand that you should read the old story before you the write the sequel. So it'll make sense. They should've taken their time. I want a do overs. Recall and do it over.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hated It!, July 7, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
The only and I stress the ONLY reason I bothered to read this book was I wanted to see how Quadir being alive was going to play out. WOW! That whole the doctor saved him and fell in love with him storyline was just preposterous. Not only that, but too much time was spent on it. That alone took up close to 100 pages. Then when you thought things just couldn't get any worse, they did. I don't know who these characters were in this book, but they were NOT the Quadir and Gena of book one. Even Quadir's mom did a 360. It was as if everything that happened in book one was null and void here. This book was a waste of time and I wish there was someway I could sue someone and get my time back. This is a clear case of when keeping it real (or when you don't write your own books) goes WRONG!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed Teri Woods Fan!!!, July 3, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
I can't say "disappointed" enough. I couldn't believe the story line With the Dr. Her character was TOO UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! How could she be the one to break infromation down for "Qua" of all people? One minute he's just after the money like the rest of them and forgetting his love and devotion to Gena, the next he's wondering if he really loveS her, the whole time SITTING ON HIS BUT WHILE SOMEONE IS TRYING TO KILL HER. I JUST DON'T GET IT. THIS BOOK HAD SOOOO MUCH POTENTIAL - WHAT HAPPENED!!!It appears that whether she writes them or not that she can't get the "III" right. Shall I remind everyone of Dutch III & Deadly Reigns III. I guess I expected so much more, since she was actually writing True to the Game III. NOT!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what you think, June 28, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
Gosh, how long did I wait for the release of this book. I suspected Qua was alive, lawd did Gena go thru enough? However, this book was a very quick read and not at all what I anticipated. Meaning to books prior to this was off da chain, but this one got tangled up in the chains. Oh well I will chalk this on up as 'could have been better'. I am still a Teri Woods fan, I still have the dutch series to read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage, So Uneccessary, July 3, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
I loved true to the game it should have been left alone. The part two and three takes away from the realness of part one. But part 3 was the worst ever!!1 It seems like it was just put out to shut the readers up!!! I am still waiting for Dutch 3, but I hope it won't be a mess like this

1.0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLLLEEE, June 26, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
Ok so i read the first and second. The first true to the game was great.. Second installment was kinda a hott mess .. and this latest after pre-ordering this book I was hopping for the best.. this book was a waste of time.. and i love books.. it was all over the place and not one character was really in it a lot. but characters scattered all over... If you love the first one.. skip this one... and make up that he comes back to life and they get back together it would save you all this trouble of reading this one.. such a utter disapointment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculous, June 24, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
I could not wait to get the third version just hoping it was not as dumb as the second one, but boy was it just as dumb as the second version, if not dumber. Qua's alive which made me excited because I hated when he died in the first one saving that dumb gena. Anyways this book was just not good it talks about Jerrells twin brother Terrell getting revenge the whole time, I never remember him having a twin. This book was so slow and boring. I skimmed through the whole book. This book was not about qua and gena like i thought it would be. The explanation for quadirs death was foolish but could possibly happen and one thing I dont understand, why was qua's mom so darn nice in true to the game III to Gena, in the other books they made her seem money hungry now suddenly she just wants the best for her son. Puhlease, she was a completly different person. All I can say was this book was foolish and did not make sense.

3.0 out of 5 stars Final, September 2, 2008
This review is from: True to the Game III (Paperback)
True to the Game III begins where part 2 left off. Gena wakes up in a unfamiliar surroundings all bruised and bandage. Wondering who saved her life from the brutal attack which was caused by Jerrell. She receive the shock of her life when she comes face to face with her true love and savior Quadir, who was suppose to have been shot and killed.

There are so many unanswered questions that Gena is looking for answers from Quadir. Of course she is highly upset because how could he go this long without letting her know that he was still amongst the living. Quadir takes us back to the night he was shot up and how he survived, his rehabilitation with the help of Dr. Amelia Hopkins, and how he was the one behind keeping her safe when she thought someone was following her. The question is has Quadir moved on with his life or is Gena his one and only true love?

True to the Game III is a pretty good read, but not one of Mrs. Woods best. The book did keep my attention. The book also went different ways, there a few people after Gena including some crooked cops but in the end will justice prevail?
