Work ? Gloves,

Nice fit and style.I was pleased until I wore them to work. After 1 day the seams on the fingers were blown out in 2 places. Bad/lightweight stitching. If I'd worn them for a week they'd been a safety hazard with shredds hanging. And I was just handling wood frame stock. Not tuff enough for everyday use. I returned mine.

These gloves run small. I usually wear x-large gloves with no problem but I could hardly get these on. They fit more like a medium than an extra-large.

Great cold weather gloves,

Got 2 pairs (4 months ago) because they were on sale, and haven't worn the second pair yet. Have worn them for cutting firewood, power washing, carpentry and sheet metal work, and they're still in good shape. Keep your hands warm even when they're wet, and haven't had any stitching blowouts or fingertips worn through. I don't know about tying string, but I can flip through my keys with them on.

bought the ironclad zero plus cold condition last winter. after being unimpressed with the ironclad's, i decided to give the bucket boss a try. i am glad i did. they are much warmer without any dexterity loss. they also seem more rugged. with the ironclads, i picked them up and had my doubts how warm they would be on "cold" days. not the case with the bucket boss. i say give em a try, you wont be dissapointed

Not a long lasting glove for shingleing,

Great glove , warm ,good dexterity as far as gloves go but they do not hold up to roof shingle work. I wore them for about twenty square and have wore through 1 thumb and two fingers. Roofing is probably the worst torture test for any glove made, I my opinion a great glove for cold weather work but if you are a roofer ???

Just buy them...Don't even think about any other glove. For the price, they are the best! I liked the lined ones the best, even during the summer. The extra padding makes them very comfortable, and they aren't any hotter than any other glove. During the cold months though you really can tell.
Enjoy!

A Great Pair of Work Gloves,
By
This review is from: True Grip 88439448 Insulated Gloves, X-Large (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is an excellent pair of work gloves for the cold weather. I put them to the test this past weekend, working with Christmas trees in northern Michigan. My hands remained warm for the entire two days in the sub-freezing temperature. The gloves were flexible enough to handle the equipment very easily, such as the chain saw, bow saw, trimmer, and even tying the string. Best of all, the clothes were strong enough to resist the 'scratching' of the pine needles and bark. The leather and kevlar patches were strong to the wear, yet flexible to the touch. Whereas the glove is somewhat water resistant, it is not waterproof. It also breathes very well, so even an active operation will alllow the hand to not feel confined. An excellent outdoor cold weather work glove!! |
