He was born October, 1897 in Saundersville, GA, but didn't find his calling until the early 1930s when he met his teacher, Master Fard Muhammad, outside of Detroit, MI. Upon his teacher's departure, Elijah Muhammad built what is known today as the Nation of Islam. His labor and vision is responsible for generating the greatest impact of Islam in North America and producing the greatest revolution in America without lifting or firing a single gun. This book did not say too much about Fard from a historic point of view . Message to the blackman and the true history of Master Fard Muhammad have a much better historic truth about Fard ie they talk more about his life and who he was . This book talks more about his theology ,rather the life he led.

Elijah Muhammad (1897-1975; born as Elijah Robert Poole) led the Nation of Islam from 1934 until his death.
Here are some quotations from the book: "Paul, one of the greatest preachers and travelers of Jesus' followers, made no attempt to teach the black nation; nor travel into their countries. (I just can't see how the so-called Negroes think that he is their Saviour, when he didn't save the Jews to whom he was sent, and he has not saved the so-called Negroes from the slavery of white Americans.)" (Pg. 59) "Read your 'poison book' (the Bible). What does your book say concerning the preparation of God against the devil?" (Pg. 70) "He, Mr. Yakub---the mighty scientist and maker of the white race or white man---was no fool by any means, just because he made an enemy for us. After having studied Islam in American for the past twelve years,I learned so much more detail information about this religion than had previouly known. It gave indepth insight into methodology of the growth of Islam. I was very impressed by the writings cited from The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the explanations of some of his writings.
