This series keeps getting better,

I know that many will consider this heresy, but I think I like the Uncommon Heroes series even better than the O'Malleys. (Though the O'Malley series is really good!) I really liked this look behind the scenes at terrorism and how 2 people of faith handled the events of Sept. 11th. I always feel proud to be an American and know there are men and women like the ones Dee Henderson writes about out there serving our country. This one talked about the price those heroes pay mentally. I enjoyed it.

Only Dee Henderson can create characters like Sam (Navy SEAL) strong , tough, brave soldier willing to run into the face of danger stare it down and destroy it. And yet give them a charming, comical sensitive side! (Henderson)tackles the tough subject of 9/11 from the perspective of the military and CIA officals, giving the reader new insight of what may have happend behind the scenes of one of America's worst tragedy. In the mist of the storm love begins to blossom between Darcy (CIA Agent) and Sam (Navy's elite force SEAL) a must read for all fans of romance, drama and last but not least the brave men and women who defend our great country and freedoms we cherish.Hats off to all who hold a position in the United States military, our flags will forever waive in your honor.

Enthralling Romantic Fiction,
By
This review is from: True Honor (Uncommon Heroes, Book 3) (Paperback)
Increasingly popular author Dee Henderson has received critical acclaims for her romance novels with a Christian theme. Her latest, book number three in the uncommon heroes series, is another winner, chock full of espionage, twisted plot turns, and a view of the life of a CIA agent.Darcy St. James has been retired from the CIA for two years, but when fellow agent Gabriel calls her back to service for one assignment, she cannot refuse. Agreeing to meet former Russian spy, Sergey Alexandrov, at a Florida hotel, Darcy embarks on her assignment. But when the meeting goes awry, Sam Houston,a Navy SEAL she just met, come to her aid. Darcy's views on retirement are suddenly and irrevocably altered when two days later, planes crash into the twin towers. With the sudden deaths of some CIA colleagues added to the Trade Center disaster, Darcy decides to come out of retirement and help her former agency anyway she can. Her intelligence efforts lead her to repeated encounters with Sam, and their relationship seems to flourish, despite time and distance constraints. Can their relationship survive this war on terror, as they treasure the little time they can spend together? Ms. Henderson has succeeded admirably in building stepping stones of romance and intrigue with a plot that thickens as the novel progresses. Most fascinating is the bird's eye view of an intelligence agent's work, and the countless hours of investigation and surveillance that are essential when trying to locate the perpetrator. Mixed in with the creative story line are scripture references that have direct bearing on the Sam and Darcy's lives. Fans of Christian romance will be pleased with the characters' focus on their faiths. And those readers of all romance fiction should find much to like in this enthralling novel where the biblical passages show a hidden depth of the main players.

New to this series...will read the others.,

I was given this book, as a gift, I have never read any of the other books in this series, but if this is an example of the quility, then I am a new fan. I plan to get the other books as soon as possible, they are filled with action and romance; even though I am a guy, I like the romance as well. The characters are real and believable while living a life I will never be able to live, one of danger and excitment. The best part is that their faith in God is put above all. This book showed me that a writer can explore the action world and still have high moral characters. I say, to Ms. Henderson, keep up the good work and to everyone else, READ THIS BOOK.

I love all Ms. Henderson's work, but this one was a special treat. This couple was interesting, daring and always ready for adventure. The stronger suspense thread was a plus for me. The ladies can write great thrillers and suspense too! Ms. Henderson's daredevil heroines steal my heart everytime. She just gets better.

SEALs meeting the CIA - there's a combination I wouldn't have expected, but it works. People with untraditional jobs gravitate to people with untradtional jobs. Henderson provided some new ways to look at both 9/11 and action/romance. She deals with the emotions and the actions following that time in a sentive and truthful manner.

I could not put this book down. The first book took me over one week to read. Just couldn't get into the characters. But the last two I could not put this book down.
I love strong women characters the kind that do not need to be saved. You got that from this book she could ultimately take care of herself but it's better to work as a team to catch the bad guy.

I really liked this book. Being a stong Christian and an avid supporter of the US military, I found it very refreshing to see both Christianity and the military portrayed so well. Henderson is a skillful writer and knows how to weave a good tale. The only bad things about this book I can see are a few minor mistakes when it comes to military protocol, but those mistakes in no way take anything from the book. This is my favorite Uncommon Hero book so far and I'm looking forward to the next one when it comes out.

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I love all of Dee Henderson's books. I really wish though in this series that we would get to see more of the other characters from past books. Like in this one he would have been nice to at least mention Bruce and Grace. I always feel disappointed in series if I don't get to see a bit of old characters. The stop to see Kelly and Joe's baby really fit that ticket, now just add the others:) But the book is absorping and a can't put it down and go to sleep even if I have to get up tomorrow at 6 AM type of book!

Wonderful as Usual!,

I enjoy reading but believe there are too many good Christian writers out there to read much of the secular trash today. I used to think it was safe to go to my church library to get good reading material--WRONG!! They are interested in getting best sellers, etc. I enjoy a good novel that keeps my interest without the foul language, the sleeping around, etc. Don't get me wrong-- sometimes there is a purpose to these topics in the book-- like observing how the Christians around them have witnessed to bring them out of their sinful lives. Think you know what I mean. Dee Henderson is one of those authors that I can count on for a good clean story--exciting and clean. True Honor was no exception. It is a wonderful love story and both main characters happen to be Chrisitans. Throughout the entire book both Darcy and Sam look to the Lord for guidance and strength throughout trials. If is evident from the first moment they meet that there are "sparks" between the two of them. Do they act on those sparks by hopping in and out of bed? No! This is a thrilling story of espionage, danger, murder, terrorism, friendship, relationships, families and patriotism. It is also current-- as Ms Henderson's story begins just prior to that day in history we recently lived thru--9-11. An easy read that you won't put down until you are finished.
