4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Introduction to the Bhundu Boys, June 26, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: True Jit (Audio CD)
I first saw the Bhundu Boys in England in the mid 80's and have been hooked ever since. True Jit is their most "commercial" album and the one most heavily influenced by western production techniques. However, I have always used this record as an introduction to African music for my friends who are interested in the genre as it is easy on the "western ear".

The Bhundu Boys were the first real African music I ever heard and this was the first CD I ever bought!

5.0 out of 5 stars Jit jive behind the full moon tonight..., January 5, 2005
This review is from: True Jit (Audio CD)
I just discovered these guys from some of my friends. I never listened to real african music before so I decided to see what all the fuss was about.

On the contrary, this is real good music. My favorite songs have to be Jit Jive, My Foolish Heart, and Chemezevana.

Pick it up if you see it...
