Richard E. Simmons (Author), III (Author)

Book Description

January 15, 2010
Taken from a series of talks given to large groups of men over the last year, The True Measure of a Man offers an inspirational examination of today s economic challenges from the perspective of seasoned business executive Richard Simmons III. Every man, writes Simmons, will face deep, alienating fears at some point in life. It is in these moments when he will find out what his life is all about and what is truly important. Gathering support from the writings of noted authors and social commentators, both Christian and secular, Simmons pointedly reminds us that every man will at some point in life suffer his own trials. No one is bullet proof. The challenges of life and, yes, even the tragedies offer potential for great good. In these struggles, Simmons argues, we discover the potential to see our lives transformed as men.
