Editorial Reviews

Review

The stories in this volume about the wonderful miracles that people have experienced while doing their Family History, are just as gripping as those in the last volume. And people keep sending Anne more! I think these volumes will continue and will occupy substantial space in the Celestial Library.
Writing these books is such a labor of love. You can feel that love by reading only one story of one miracle. Imagine how you will feel after reading the whole book.
It will make a wonderful Christmas gift for anyone on your family tree. If they're not already doing their genealogy, they will probably be moved to begin because of Anne's faithful role as a "teller of stories." ~ G. G. Vandagriff, author of five genealogical mysteries and many other books in various genres.

From the Author

Compiling Volume Two of True Miracles with Genealogy was an inspiring and joy-filled experience. As when compiling Volume One, I went to bed each night with such peaceful and happy feelings as the day's stories lingered in my mind. I still get goose-bumps and teary-eyed when reading many of the accounts, even though I have worked with them all countless times.
This volume is longer than the first, and contains more old photographs. I feel it is perhaps the best book I have published so far, and am thrilled to know it is being read by so many people.
Heartfelt thanks to all who contributed stories, to my professional editor, Tristi Pinkston, and to all who are now enjoying the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars True Miracles with Genealogy: Volume Two November 5, 2011
Format:Paperback
After reading Anne Bradshaw's first book, I contacted her to tell her how much I had enjoyed it and that I had experienced many miracles in doing genealogical research.
I contributed three stories and received my copy yesterday and began reading this wonderful book. It is full of many amazing miraculous experiences, fascinating old photos, and stories that will inspire you as well as develop your interest in researching your own family. Doing this broadens your sense of who you are and enlarges the family of which you are a part. You also gain a strong family sense and feel close to those who have passed on. Sue Maxwell

5.0 out of 5 stars This book brought me a new cousin November 28, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I sat down with great expectations to read this Vol. 2 of "True Miracles with Genealogy". I devoured Volume 1 in one sitting and knew I was in for a treat as I explored this new volume. But I had no idea the impact one of the stories would have on me. I only got to the 4th story before being overcome with such a sense of belonging, connection, and feelings of deep emotion for the characters in the story. I read it a second time to better understand the sequence of events in the story, then I read it to my husband. I was brought to tears as I realized the TRUE MIRACLE it expressed. I found myself thinking about it as I went to bed and again as I arose the next morning. Upon researching the family described, I discovered that the characters in the story were distant cousins of mine. I then understood that feeling of being drawn to this story and of feeling connected as I initially read it. I can say the same thing of all the stories...they are intriguing and explore the miraculous influences that our ancestors have upon our lives, our research, and our emotions. Every story is powerful, easy to follow, and provides good insight into the blessings that we can claim as we learn about those in our families who have gone before us. Even as I read of the experiences of fellow genealogists in this book, my heart is drawn to my ancestors and I'm filled with love, joy, and gratitude. I can't wait for Anne to compile a third version of "True Miracles...."

5.0 out of 5 stars good book July 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Even though all the stories were by members of the LDS church and I am not part of this church - I thoroughly enjoyed the book. While nothing I have experienced has been as dramatic as this in my years of genealogical research i have more than once been nudged in the right direction by ancestors who wanted to be found.
