As a middle-aged guy who would rather watch football than read a book, I may not be the typical reader Kali had in mind when she wrote "Truffles From Heaven." But once I picked it up off the coffee table and started reading, I couldn't put it down. Her true-life stories are entertaining, yet filled with lessons (she calls them "nougat centers") that apply to everyone...even someone who's biggest tests of faith usually involve fourth and goal, down by six.

Kali Schnieders' book, Truffles from Heaven, proves to be a one-sitting read. From cover to cover, Schnieders keeps the reader laughing one moment, crying the next, and nodding in agreement throughout. With real-life experiences that many people can identify with, the author shows how God has a hand in every aspect of one's life, truly working all things to His good! Her refreshing, open style makes the reader think she's sitting by your side chatting with you. I look forward to more work from Kali Schnieders!

Kali has been through much in her life and inspires the rest of us to rely on God and the strength that only He can provide. I saw Kali speak at a church function and just couldn't wait to get my hands on her book! What a motivation, she makes you laugh and cry all in the same sentence! You will walk away from this book with a good feeling in your heart, ready to pass it on to the next woman in need of a pick-me-up.

What an inspiration this book has been to me. I often begin my quite times using it as a devotional to get my mind focused. The words brought encouragement, hope, tears and laughter!

I love coffee, I love chocolate and I love Kali's book, Truffles From Heaven! The author's background adds great interest and experience to her writing and I truly enjoyed her wit! She has done so many exciting things and yet she knows that the "nougat" in life is found in the sweetness of a rich relationship with God. This is a wonderful gift book to other friends who love coffee and chocolate and the richness of those things that matter most in life.

The author shares warm, inviting stories of real-life inspiration with a twist of humor. She helps her audience see God's grace in all circumstances of life as they look for the sweet morsels of His goodness in difficult times. I laughed and cried, smiled and sighed. It was just wonderful! Kali Schneiders, do you have Truffles II on the horizon? This is a delightful gift book. I know what my friends will get for the holidays.

That's how I described it this book to my husband. I read this the first time about a decade ago, standing in a grocery store. It had such an impact, I went bought several for family and friends, and amazingly, have remembered the title this whole time! I hadn't read it since, but wanted to get a copy for a good friend of mine. As Dolly Parton's character says in Steel Magnolias - Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion! And this book does just that. The grace of God shines through Kali's stories. Highly recommended.
