4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Only for Some
These bands are extremely well made and of high quality, but they are extremely strong and hard to pull back fully. I thought I could handle any bands, but these ones are actually too strong for me. If you have a strong pull, you will not be disappointed, but only buy if you can realistically handle it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty strong, but not very durable.
I didn't have any difficulty with the heavy pull, and they are generally nice. The problem is that they break too often, and at 4 bucks each that's not good. I ordered 4 bands, and broke 3 in 2 days.
The first one broke at the slinghsot end, but it was sort of my fault because the slingshot had rough edges. I took a dremel and some sandpaper and the next two bands...

The first one broke at the slinghsot end, but it was sort of my fault because the slingshot had rough edges. I took a dremel and some sandpaper and the next two bands didn't break there. However, they broke at the pouch end. There is a plastic insert that connects the band with the pouch, and it broke twice, after an average of ~50 shots. That's pretty expensive, and it would be cheaper to shoot a .22 rifle or a CO2 pellet gun.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Pull, May 12, 2010

The Heavy Pull Powerband lives up to it's name. It definetly gives a more velocity and range over the normal pull bands. This comes at the cost of a harder pull, and may be difficult for anyone who is challenged by the normal pull bands. My only complaint is that the leather will twist after most shots. This makes "loading" for the next shot a little more time consuming.

Was really looking forward to these high powered bands. They broke within the first 15 minutes however. The buying experience was great. The product however was not.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed, November 19, 2010

I always wanted just a bit more range on my slingshot. These do just that. They're not much more powerful than regular bands. But, they do give you a little added range. There's one major issue I have with them: The bands are not tied to the leather pouch. Rather, they are attached with 2 pieces of plastic. This causes the pouch to come out of alignment, really hindering your accuracy. Be prepared th adjust the pouch regularly to maintain your accuracy.

the black heavy pull produces a higher velocity but also tends to snap back at you a bit more than the regular style.

I love these heavy bands. More power and distance out of my slingshot than ever. Not to mention its a must have to make a sling bow; and if you don't know what a sling bow is look it up on Dave Canterbury's youtube channel. You will never have so much fun with a slingshot in your whole life not to mention it turns it into a viable hunting tool. I leave mine in my pack all the time now. Thanks trumark!

4.0 out of 5 stars Thought they will be stronger, December 19, 2011

I recently started taking my slingshot on hiking trips for small game hunting (emergency situations). These bands provide much better velocity than the red ones that came with the Truemark FX slingshot, however I was still not happy, so I decided to shorten the length of the bands. If u want accuracy but feel the pull is not strong enough at the cheekbone level, do not pull beyond the cheekbone!! instead shorten the bands equally. Also, if the bands are shortened, please put something like a zip tie over the band, you dont want it to slide off and snap back at you:)

Overall I recommend it.

I will update on durability after some time:

This is about 10 steps ahead of the band that comes with your average $6.00 slingshot from Wal-Mart. And is an absolute must to turn your slingshot into a slingbow. I did have to cut about 1 inch on one side and 1-1/4 on the other to even them out and to add tension.

By far the best bands I've used to date. The leather pouch and shot strength are great. Unlike the standard pull bands, I have yet to have the plastic band inserts separate from the bands.
