En este bello cd podemos apreciar el arte y el maravilloso sonido del mítico trompetista francés Maurice André, todo una leyenda de este bello instrumento.
Dueño de un sonido muy particular, nos ofrece una selección de conciertos barrocos de los compositores Purcell, Haendel y Telemann ademas de una excelente interpretacion de la melodía "Trumpet Voluntary" tan conocida en el mundo entero por interpretarse en ceremonias múltiples.
Ademas podemos apreciar una cautivante e impecable interpretación del Concierto en Fa mayor de J. S. Bach en una magnífica adaptación para su instrumento.
En fin, una excelente joya para los amamtes de la trompeta.

Brilliant sound, August 11, 2005

This album opens with one of the best renditions of "Prince of Denmark's March" on trumpet I've ever heard. Besides showcasing Andre's warm sound and stirring power, it is arranged such that the orchestra augments the trumpet line at every turn. The other pieces are also good, and the accompaniment admirable in each. The Handel piece allows Andre to demonstrate his ability to remain expressive in an extremely high register. A bonus is the inclusion of lesser known pieces like the Fischer.
