LOVE IT!!!,
By
This review is from: Trunk Funk Classics: 1991-2000 (Audio CD)
I have been a huge fan of the Brand New Heavies for a long time, so when I discovered they had released this CD, I was in heaven!!! I love absolutely everything about this CD. They included all of my favorites as well as some new songs that I had never heard before. With their interesting mix of R&B, funk, and soul, this band really knows what it takes to make good music. N'dea Davenport's voice still blows me away. This is the perfect CD for any Brand New Heavies fan, and I would also suggest it to people not familiar with the band. You will not be disappointed at all! This is the type of music that definitely has longevity!!!

A Must have,

This is a great album for longterm fans and new ones: For the old fans, the first track is enough, the Heavies reunite with N'Dea for "Finish what you started" You'll love it, super funky! And it has all the old hits and some fun remixes. Everyone needs this in there collecton, if you miss 70s funk and R&B.

Smokin' Trunk Funk!,
By Steve Bradford (Frederick, Maryland USA) - See all my reviews

The Brand New Heavies short lived music career hit all the perfect notes.
This CD revolves the dreaded 'Best Of...' syndrome into a really nice listening experience. A nice mix of their best and some odd ball songs into a good interpretation of the Brand New Heavies changes in singers and styles. I recommend this to everyone who's heard of this abstract band. Your friends will be asking you to borrow this CD once they hear it. I'm living proof!
