Aneil and Karen Mishra have done an excellent analysis of what it takes to have the trust of your followers as a leaders. Using multiple case stories, they build up the "ROCC" of trust: Reliability, Openness, Competence and Compassion. An easy read, if you are interested on the role of trust in leadership, this is an excellent resource.

Unlike many other books on leadership and organization effectiveness, the authors cut to the quick and deliver a number of real world examples of what really works. The end of chapter tips are an especially good check list to revisit and utilize as daily work.

After reading many books on business, psychology, and marketing, this is an ideal addition to my all time favorites. Aneil and Karen wrote an easy to read book with clear, complete and real stories which will give even the least likely leaders an edge. Ever stumble upon a book that you never knew you needed to read??? This is one of those books. It uses all of life's basic skills that one assumes has nothing to do with business yet it has everything to do with business. Read it for business... read it for life... Read it!

Aneil and Karen Mishra have accurately concluded that 'Trust is Everything' when it comes to leadership. The trust earned by leaders pays back in very tangible ways -- it's the difference between marginal performance and performance that sets a business unit, a division, an organization apart. In this book, you get the four core dimensions of trust in very clear and concise terms -- not just management concept fluff but real world examples of leaders and companies that have demonstrated what excelling at the four dimensions can achieve. The stories are easy to relate to and as you continue reading them, you realize how powerful the concepts really are. I personally, highly recommend this book.

This book is especially relevant today and provides some real world examples of truly trustworthy leaders. The chapter on Ted Castle and Rhino Foods is especially intersting. I highly recommend this book.
