Weird, Yet Satisfying,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Trust Falls: The Wessex Papers, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
This is a highly original story-not others like i that I know of. It starts like a regular teenage story...but SO not boring...and then you feel like you are in a speeding crate in a mine. It's a smooth story--you don't feel like a snail sludging along. It's about different points of view-which ends of tying a knot and "ending" together. What I mean about "ending" is that it leaves you in suspense so you MUST read the next one. It's weird, too. You would never guess something would happen, yet it fits. (You'll have to read this book to find out what happens- please do!) It's a well written YA novel and give it 5 stars! It's an enjoyable story about an outcast, a toubled yet popular clique, and a whole bunch of loving characters-you feel like you know them. What I also loved was that sometimes, instead of a regular paragraph, it's letters or feelings or diary pages...from different characters. Like "Sunday Winthrop's Speech As Typed(shred when done)". Or "Fred Wright's Dartboard."This book is not only hilarious, but fast pacing and hypnotic-you can't put it down! So I urge you to READ THIS BOOK!

THIS BOOK ROCKED!Okay...so here's the thing...I'm not really so into reading normally...i mean, i don't *dislike* reading...i just don't generally get excited all that excited about books.... This book was so good I actually got in trouble for reading it during class (which all my friends thought was really funny by the way) It is really laugh out-loud pants-peeingly funny and....you know how some "teen" books are really unrealistic...like the characters don't talk like how real people our age talk.....they just sound like what some adult things teens talk like? well this book is not like that....it actually sounds like how people I know talk (well, actually not all that much like people iknow because these people are funnier/weirder/crazier than people I know.....but whatever..you know what i mean) after I read this book i gave it to my best friend who's sort of readingly-snobby (like she gets really excited about shakespere and crap) and i made her read it and she was all prepared to be all "teen book! eeew!" but she actually really loved it and wants me to lend her the other two... READ THESE BOOKS! okay. bye.

He doesn't have the money that most of the other students have, but the faculty want him for basketball. Fred soon meets Noah, Sunday, Mackenzie, and Allison. Four spoiled rich kids who have never heard the word "no." Soon Fred is thrown into a school and world full of lies, cheating, scam, and more. This is an excellent book that all fans of the movie "Cruel Intentions would enjoy.

A weird novel, yet great to read,
This review is from: Trust Falls: The Wessex Papers, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
Wessex Academy, with an annual tuition of 25,000, is where the students are from the world of mansions, platinum cards, and yachts. Sunday Winthrop, Alison Scott, Noah Percy, Winslow Ellis, Hobson Crowe, and Mackenzie Wilde, are the AB's(Alumni Brats), who practically run the school. Then there is the new kid on the block, Fred Wright, who transfered here after his emotional breakup with former girlfriend Diane, whose new boyfriend is no other than Salvatore Viverito, an alumi of Wessex Academy. Fred is out to change the BS in boarding school and make everyone equal. Yeah, these few people have had their problems. Hobson just recently broke his longtime relationship with Alison and now Alison is one big wreck. Mackenzie is scared to death that Alison will find out that she is having a relationship with Hobson. Sunday has been hearing it from longtime friend Allison about why she is hanging out with Fred Wright who is not an AB and Sunday feels very annoyed. But the biggest problem of all is that Noah Percy had sex with a the new teacher, Miss Burke. Soon weird things start happening at Wessex starting with Tony Viverito, no other than Salvatore's brother, getting expelled from Wessex because he had chewing tabacco in his bookbag. The problem is Tony never chews tabacco and all fingers point to Fred Wright who does. Fred knows some conspiracy is going on at Wessex and he and Sunday decide to investigate. What they find out will surprise them both. This book was definitely better than I thought it would be. It was a little wierd but also very funny to read. It'll crack you up, I am sure. The cliffhanger ending makes you want the 2nd book even more!

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time,

I really enjoyed this book. It is hilarious and the characters are great. (one of them is this teacher who pronounces all his words wrong...like he pronounces Macho = mah-coe...)my other favorite part of the book was the lists and letters and stuff (throughout the book there are different lists that the "characters" wrote like the funniest one i thought was EIGHT REASONS WHY I THREW A FIRECRACKER INTO A TOILET (that's the only one I can think of right now, but there were other funny ones too). I haven't read the other two yet, but I am actually signed on here to buy them right now.

Noah is my god!,

Okay so let's face it some of these kids have issues...but don't all us kids this age have some sort of issue? I mean drugs and relationships are things we're dealing with, and besides the whole gambling mafia conspiracy thing this was a book I could really relate to. Which is saying something because of all the "literature" they shove down our throats at school. In my mind it is a must read for all teenagers. My favorite character is Noah, despite his obvious issues I think that next to Fred he IS the most mentally stable person at the school for one reason, he understands how the system works and why things happen. He also has his own ways to abuse the system I can't wait to read #3!!!
