3.0 out of 5 stars Who can you trust?
An average book that could have been really good if it were a bit more realistic. After Kenya catches her boyfriend cheating on her, she vows that she will never let herself get hurt again. Until she meets Scott... He's everything that she's ever wanted in a boyfriend--sweet, handsome, funny, loyal. Is he too good to be true? Kenya is determined not to make the same...

This review is from: Trust Me (Love Stories) (Mass Market Paperback)
Kenya Clarke had what she believed to be the perfect relationship, that is until she caught her boyfriend in the act of cheating on her, on their anniversary nonetheless. Upset and heartbroken, she meets Scott Hutson. He is handsome, intelligent, and has a great personality, yet Kenya cannot fully commit to the relationship because of her previous experience. So she devises a plan to test Scott to see if he would ever cheat on her. In the end she learns a valuable lesson about "playing with love" and trusting others.

This book gives an accurate portrayal of first love and heartbreak. The characters are well developed, but seem a bit too "perfect", with the exception of the cheating boyfriend. In the end it is a wonderful story that explorers issues of trust, vulnerability, and love amongst teenagers. I would recommend this book to both young adults who are new to relationships and dating, in addition to those who may have had relationships go wrong and are dealing with trust issues.

She will have to put Scott to the test and see if he can resist her beautiful, flirtatious friend Monica. The plan just has to work! Right?!?

"Trust Me" is about Kenya and Scott trusting each other. After Kenya sees her boyfrinds cheating on her, she is heart broken. So She meets Scott. They hit it off really well. Kenya goes through a test to see if She really loves him....This Love Story book is one of the ones at the top of my list.

5.0 out of 5 stars A well-written realistic novel that teaches values, June 23, 1998

This review is from: Trust Me (Love Stories) (Mass Market Paperback)
The author of this book has very well developed writing skills, yet she is very much in touch with the feelings of a teen-aged girl (and boy, for that matter). She sets a scene with a deft sense of realism and writes dialogue like a young Hemingway. I gave this book to a 16-year-old girl who later insisted I read it. I'm glad she did. It was great!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good book, but there a catch, January 27, 2001
This review is from: Trust Me (Love Stories) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoy this book at first. But when she when to fortune teller that when my interest for the book when out the window. I think the book had a good plot, but it include fortunetelling which is aganist my religion. If they took out the fortune telling it would be great read. I am writing this review let others know like me not to buy this book if fortunetelling is aganist your religion.
