God wants us to follow after Him with our whole hearts. Proverbs 3:5-6 says "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." God wants us to to trust Him -- even though we can't see Him and don't always know where He's taking us.
If you struggle with trusting God, you definitely want to get a copy of this book. Trusting God is a 12-week devotional study that will walk you through what trusting God looks like and how to let go and simply trust Him. Sharing intimate snapshots of their lives as they go Sharon, Gwen and Mary -- you might know them from the Girlfriends in God daily devotional -- take you on a journey of trust.
The book is set up to be used individually or in a group. Each section ends with a Bible study guide and space for journaling to help you get the most out of the book.
Don't miss out on this faith adventure. It will strengthen your relationship with God and teach you to trust Him -- in all things.
What a great devotional and or study book!
Sharon James, Gwen Smith, and Mary Southerland have put together a wonderfully written `Faith Adventure' that touches on something that I think every Christian struggles with.
There have been many times in my life where I have had NO problem Trusting God, but than there are times that have totally caught me off guard and I realize that it's during those times where my `Trusting God' is truly tested.
Trusting God: A Girlfriends In God Faith Adventure is written in such a way that you feel like your sitting down with some really close girlfriends, but in reality you're just curled up with this book.
It's a 12 week devotional study that includes a Bible study guide and journal pages. It can be used as a group study or just a devotional for yourself.
No matter where you are in the whole `Trusting God' thing, I would highly recommend getting a copy of this book for encouragement, guidance, and a good spiritual pick me up.
And DEFINITELY check out the Girlfriends in God web page and the videos that they have coincide with the book. What a great resource.
My book is already filled with underlines and dog-eared pages. Trusting God, is one book that will be read and reread, shared with others, and lovingly pondered for years.
Trusting God is written in a devotion format that could be used for daily or as a group study. Questions are at the end of each chapter for reflection and encouragement. Order Trusting God for yourself and everyone you know. These beautiful Girlfriends in God will touch and abundantly bless your life with each story and word written.
None. Although it would be nice for you to experience it on your own, right? At the end of each section there is a chapter to reflect. Ways to apply what you've just read about to your own life. Ways to 'let go and let God'. Without these chapters I think the book would have been redundant. But hey, God never changes. His blessings come when we trust Him. They never change. So I guess hearing over and over how God can bless any circumstance can never get old. If you don't want to take the time to read, then don't. But if you need to know, need to be reminded that God is in control, His ways are better than ours, His plan is eternal than this book is for you. Trust is hard, especially with someone Who we cannot see.Read more ›
