Trusting God isn't always an easy thing to do, but especially when cancer strikes. It's so hard to conceive of a process that wracks your body with pain and brings forward emotions you've never dreamed of and can't possibly understand until you go through it. Loved ones watch and offer support but they really don't know what a person with cancer is going through.

This book offers hope, understanding and comfort in ways that I never dreamed of.

Long time friends and authors Jerry Cook and Ron Pinkston are both suffering from cancer. They agree to write each other letters once a week during their treatments to share their experiences, belief in God and offer each other the comfort and understanding that only someone who has gone through it can do. This books has snippets of these letters and I am in awe of their generosity in sharing them with us.

The photographs by Nancy J. Locke go perfectly with the text of this book. They are in turn soothing and exhilarating and constantly remind us of God's love for us all and for the bounty that he offers us in this lifetime.

A time of peace, a time of hope, a time of renewal. These are all things that this book with it's wonderful letters and it's breath taking photography offer. It should definitely be a part of every home, hospital, hospice and library.

If you are looking for comfort and inspiration during a very difficult time then this a book that should be in your home library. This book not only has inspiration in the way of the written word but the photographs included throughout the book are an look at the beauty that God has given us. A MUST HAVE during a very difficult time. This book is not only a good read for someone with cancer but also everyone in that persons family should read this book.

When faced with a disease it is difficult to find your way out of the depression and anger. The honest discussions between the authors and the breathtaking photography blend perfectly together. Nancy J. Locke is a photographer to watch. Her talent is inspiring.

A sense of peace washed over me when I read this book. Even though I don't have cancer, but am disabled, I found the book helpful.

Trusting in God can be hard. This book offers hope and help.

I recommend this book for anyone facing this life challenge.

Trusting God When You Have Cancer: Help and Hope for the Road Ahead, is an excellent book of moment by moment inspirational reading. When a person is ill, they don't always like long readings, so this book of lovely photos and reading, helps a person with cancer walk with friends! We feel alone when we are ill, and in Trusting God, we KNOW we are not alone. This book has been well created both with wise words of kindness, and the marvelous professional photographs. Truly a small gift book created from the heart to the hearts of all patients with cancer, and for the friends and relatives of those walking the cancer path. Outstanding!

This is the most heartfelt inspirational book I have found about truly dealing with cancer. It tells you the honest feeling and pain of two men as they go through cancer treatment. It does not sugar coat how bad dealing with cancer is but show you with God's and Christians friends and your families help you can make it through treatment. It gives you a ideal about what to expect from the treatment. A truly wonderful book about a horrible subject.
