Book Description

Are You Married To A Bass Fisherman? Take heart-you are not alone...and there is help. The cure is humor. The only way to survive living with a bass fisherman is laughter: it's the best medicine. If you have been blessed with the presence of a bass fisherman in your life, know that there are others like you that will understand your burden. As companions of bass fishermen, we are subjected to a multitude of nerve-racking situations. Some are bearable and some are not. The Truth About Being A Bass Fisherman's Wife is an outrageous look at bass fishing through a woman's perspective. Anyone who is married to a bass fisherman or even knows one will roar with laughter at these hilarious tales that expose the believe-it-or-not idiosyncrasies of the odd creature known as the Bass Fisherman.

5.0 out of 5 stars A chuckle-inducing compilation December 6, 2004
Format:Paperback
The Truth About Being A Bass Fisherman's Wife is a wry and humorous book that looks at the blessings and tribulations of sharing one's life with an enthusiastic bass fisherman. Whimsical black-and-white cartoon-style caricatures pepper the amusing vignettes and insights that brim in ways to cope with a spouse who is just passionate about fish. Laughter is the best medicine for coping with life burden's in The Truth About Being A Bass Fisherman's Wife, a chuckle-inducing compilation of all-too-recognizable incidents, from attempting to seduce the bass fisherman (don't try when his favorite fishing TV show is on cable) to the subtle nuances of "fish talk".

We purchased this, and laughed and laughed! My wife particularly identified with some of the sections of this book! We put it on the reading shelf in our bathroom, and friends and guests have gotten some good chuckles out of it too!

4.0 out of 5 stars This author needs to "fish" for an editor. August 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
There is a difference between "bass fishin' and tournament bass fishin'" and this bass fisherman is the tournament type. This is a cute short, full of the craziness which afflicts fisherman of any type. This would be an easy five star read with some competent editing, but as it stands, it rates a solid four stars. All in all, if you have a fishin' spouse...you'll probably both like it!
