Ella Hughley has written a book about a controversial subject, that is only whispered about from time to time by Scholars, Archaeologist and Theologians. She shows that the original Hebrews who were freed from Egyptian bondage, were a black skinned people. But it doesn't stop there, she provides more information that shows the African Americans are descendants of those original Hebrews.

This book brings out the fact that the bible says Ancient Israel looked like the Ethiopian and Ancient Egyptians. Ella Hughley shows this by the biblical comparison of Moses and Joseph to the Ancient Egyptians. She shows how the punishments / curses that were put on Israel by the most high fit the full description of the African Americans history and social ills in the western hemisphere.

Ella Hughley goes deeper, she provides information about the Ashkenazi Jews, and who they are really descendants from......

All in all this is a good book to begin you on the path to the truth about the original Biblical Israelites. It's a small book (68 pages) but it contains big information.

There is a saying that goes " the truth shall set you free " Christ an Israelite said those words and now the truth will set minds on fire with this book. Other books have peeked around the subject that the Jews the bible speaks of along with all the biblical prophets INCLUDING CHRIST are all people of dark color. This book takes this topic head on. This is a secret that has been diliberately white washed and hidden since the start of the Rennaisance period. This book just emphazises the truth and nothing but the truth. Again THE REAL JEWS ARE THE SO-CALLED BLACK MAN IN AMERICA AND THE CARRIBBEAN, THE HISPANICS THROUGHOUT NORTH CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA AND, THI SO-CALLED AMERICAN INDIANS. These are the true people of the lord who built the pyramids in Egypt and molded civilization since the beginning of time. This book my friends will tell you and show you all of these true and shocking facts.

This book lays out facts and interpretations of the Bible that are never revealed or discussed in bible study classes. People have held on to worshiping blindly because they are not interested and are not taught to seek the meanings of the words used throughout the Bible. This books gives translations that will never be incuded in books published in mainstream publications. When you go beyond simply reading words and take the initiative to learn what those words mean is when you start your journey to truth. For those who want to know the truth about the bible and the people who lived during bibical times, this book must be part of their library of reference books.

I only read the review, but i'am a hebrew Israelite. You see i had a 'Y' chromosome test proformed in Houston, Texas, last year. From the testing center in Houston and others like it an article was written by USNEWS & World Report. But the article didn't touch Ella's subject. Which is the reason my caption is there with nothing written in the article itself. I'm about to have another 'Y' chromosome test sent to Oxford, England in the hopes of linking with my ancient heritage. Pertaining to Ancient Israelites in Ella's reveiw it is not only true but the 21st century will prove to be monumental for now called African Americans/Europeans whom like myself are starting to receive proof of their origin.

I love this book! It really revealed the truth about African History, and why things were taken away. It also has scientific explanation on features etc that I really enjoyed. It's a powerful book! I recommend it for all races that want to know the truth.

Much truth has been hidden about who the people of the book are. This work, like many others...before and after it: proceeds to enlighten the reader about an Africoid lineage of the Shemitic Hebrew Israelite Nation. This is, "The Worlds Best Kept Secret."

Ella Hughley's groundbreaking work is a tremendous contribution to the historical discussion. Mainstream pundits would naturally shun such a work. But for the truth seeker this is a liberating and informative study on who the original Jews (Hebrew-Israelites) were. I read this book over the course of two days...would have read it one had it not been for other daily commitments. I will return to this book again. Very short but PACKED with invaluable information. I don't understand how the author agreed with some of the new testament and dismisses other parts. She made claims that Jesus called himself the son of man but never made claims to be the son of God, that is not scriptural. Either you accept the whole book or reject it all.

If you are expecting an academic work of art, you might be highly disappointing. This book is more of a pamphlet than a book.

It should be self-evident that the original Hebrews were not Caucasian. However, Hughly's attempt at scholarship is as questionable as the conclusion; that being the African Americans and Blacks are descendants of the ancient Hebrews.

I would purchase it to gain insight into the sects that attempt to promote the notion of black national revivalism through the co-opting of a well established religion as a means to gain a semblance of identity. However, for the serious student, I would ensure that you pursue more fleshed out versions of the well documented history of the Jewish people. Such as Hayim Ben-Sasson, or Paul Johnson.
