I saw the movie (which was alright) and knew immediately after that I was going to buy the soundtrack. As I expected, it turned out to be one of the best CD's I've ever purchased. 18 great songs from every corner of the planet that are very diverse and unique, yet come together beautifully to form an excellent compilation.

After seeing the movie, the amazing beats kept going through my head until I bought the soundtrack. It's got an interesting variety of songs, but it's got a consistent beat that you can tap your foot to anywhere at anytime. 'Jim the Jinn' and 'Epoca' are both just amazing. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

Saw this TERRIFIC film twice, in part because of the music. This soundtrack leaves you dizzy in the night sky full of swinging pink neon and possibilities, ready to go out and wander the streets to note the qualities of people.

Usually when I am watching a movie, I am paying full attention to what the actors are doing and saying, trying to follow the plot, etc. I knew that this soundtrack was really good because throughout the entire movie, I kept hearing songs that just sounded awesome. I keep telling my cousin that I had to get this soundtrack because all the songs just sounded so good. Of course, the soundtrack did not disappoint. Even if you don't see the movie, buy this CD!!

As I was watching the movie, and suddenly Aznavour appeared singing that wonderful song I was hooked. Made the movie worthwhile as well as the soundtrack. Many of the other songs are great too. Makes you feel you're in Paris!

Jonathan Demme knows how to choose music for his movies. The soundtrack of his latest flick (a wonderful film in itself) is exciting, a melange of the best of world music. However, I wish it included "Charade d'amour", the sultry tango song sung by Anna Karina, the First Lady of the French New Wave. She is represented by her 60's hit "Sous le soleil exactement" in this album.

But only almost. I would be much happier if this cd had just been released as some kind of super funky collection, instead of as the one redeeming factor of a great waste of money, time, and talent. I really didn't like TTAC, from the very beginning, but the music kept me interested. I don't actually think all of it works very well in the movie--for instance, the chase scene near the end could've benefited from Henry Mancini, not the chill relaxed tune that drags the sequence down and seems to say "don't worry about a thing, it's gonna be okay," which is not the point in a supposed thriller!--but it works just fine in my cd player. Buy the soundtrack, skip the picture.

"The Truth About Charlie" is certainly not the movie that "Charade" is. But the soundtrack is spectacular with a variety of French and English songs that really get across the feeling of Paris. Even if you found the movie disappointing, give the soundtrack a chance.

As with most Jonathan Demme pictures, this film has an fantastic soundtrack with songs from every genre. The best song is from Ted Demme, but there's also new Soft Boys, new Sparklehorse... Buy this cd!

It's almost impossible to find such a blend of great music in just one album. Especially Gotan Project and Manu Chao. You'll find a great combination of French, English, Turkish, African and Latin American music. It is a must have. Saludos.
