Good Information!,

I have always loved the fact that Sylvia Browne talks about God, not many psychics do that. I have been helped in many ways by all of her books and this book is no exception. I loved the information about Sylvia's roots as a 3rd generation psychic and how we all can hone our own psychic skills and learn to trust our instincts.
Good job Sylvia!

* A Good Read!! *,
This review is from: The Truth About Psychics: What's Real, What's Not, and How to Tell the Difference (Hardcover)
Very good book Sylvia, it's too bad there are others who purposely try to slam your integrity with meritless nonsense. But overall this book is very resourceful with info on what to look out for on readers. Delightfully inspiring and rings true to my soul. Yes unfortunately there are many bad apples from other 'psychics' who gives the good ones a bad name, but the truth within you Shall set you free no matter the obstacles. Good job! :)

Sort of a misleading title,

This is a good starter book for those new to religious and metaphysical topics, as the majority of this book is spent giving a brief description of each. Only the very last (and small) section of the book deals with the title subject. Those who are familiar with her past work should pass this one by, since it is just a rehash of what she has written before.

I have almost every book that Sylvia or her son Chris has written. I would not trade them for the world. Sylvia has changed my life more than I can say. She gives hope, takes away fears and even makes you laugh. She is the best psychic that I have ever found and I have researched many. I have seen Sylvia in person and she is magical in her gift from God. If you don't like what she has to say, leave it behind and just take what you want. There is no denying that today the veil between earth and our home on the other side is thinning. Many more children are coming into this world with these gifts and others that may have them are learning how to use them for the good of others. As in everything, there are those who take advantage of people who are searching for answers. Sylvia will tell you how to know a true and honest psychic. Trust your heart and instincts and don't let desperation lead you the wrong way.

recirculation of (probably) old material, not trustworthy in my opinion,
By atlantic1 "atlantic1" (Palm Bay, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Truth About Psychics: What's Real, What's Not, and How to Tell the Difference (Hardcover)
The book contains a lot of material that has very little to do with the "truth" about psychics, most of the book describes what numerology is, what astrology is, what astral travel is, etc., etc., a lot of stuff one can find in Ms. Browne's numerous other books, I am sure. The last chapter of the book offers some limited info (most of it common-sense) about the "tricks" some dishonest psychics resort to (writing such a book appears to be one). In my opinion the book has little truthfulness in itself , so little that it prompted me to inquire further about Ms. Browne (and I did find some amazing things, on Wikipedia, for instance). I do have a lot of respect for true psychics, but I have many doubts about Ms. Browne and I cannot recommend this book.

I always enjoy Sylvia's books. They're fun, informative and have humor mixed in. You can't go wrong reading one of Sylvia's many books. I wish I could find her earlier books.

Truth?,
By PL (NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Truth About Psychics: What's Real, What's Not, and How to Tell the Difference (Hardcover)
Sylvia Browne could not point you to the truth if it was 10 feet away, written in 90 foot neon letters, and backlit with an atomic explosion. On the other hand, being one of the biggest and most prolific liars of this generation, she might just be able describe it in terms of anything she has not done or been involved with.
In any case, even if you don't immediately recognize the first phrase of the title, "The Truth About Psychics," as the oxymoron that it is, she didn't need a whole book to answer the title question: "What's Real, What's Not, and How to Tell the Difference." Answer: All of it is not real, there is no differentiation to apply. But don't worry, karma will take care of someone who abuses the sorrow, pain, and grief of others for their own financial gain. |
