5.0 out of 5 stars Great Monitors, November 21, 2009

This review is from: Truth B2030A Studio Monitor(pair) (Electronics)
These monitors are great for mixing from pro tools. I use them every day, the frequency response is flat and precise. for small studios they are perfect. not as expensive as some other brands but they really deliver, and if you like to mix loud these go to 11. Rock!

4.0 out of 5 stars Adequate for near field monitoring IF you're on a budget., May 3, 2010

These speakers can do an adequate job - if you're NOT a professional audio engineer. I'm a freelance videographer and do a lot of concert videography. These monitors are adequate enough that I can assess my various recordings from the show (from the soundboard and from several microphones I place in the room) and make a competent final mix. I think, if you were doing more serious mixing -and were doing it FULL TIME as a professional audio tech- then you should really consider going for something 3-4 times the price. It will be worth it for you. Otherwise, these are great for my purpose, and I also love them for watching movies. Having watched movies before on one of those standard 5.1 surround sound systems you can get from bestbuy or walmart for under $100, I actually think movies sound even better on a pair of stereo speakers like these. FINAL VERDICT: Behringer makes budget audio equipment. The quality VERY rarely meets the standards of professional equipment, but the products are -for the most part- functional and well built. If you're on a budget, this is the way to go. Otherwise, move on. Most professionals (especially if your sole function is audio work) should look for something with a higher price tag and better industry reviews. Sound quality is "OK" for my purposes, and I'm happy with the price.
