5.0 out of 5 stars Electronic Essential, January 4, 2004

Although Beborn Beton remains an obscure band, they nonetheless are extremely talented and make some of the greatest electronica-darkwave music around. All of their works have a dancey, ephemeral, dark quality about them that makes them easy to appreciate. This CD in particular stands out in my opinion as their greatest album. Aside from Another World, which has become one of their most familar songs in clubs across Europe and the US, there are many other great tracks on here. The dark song Game of Fools gives way perfectly to the fast paced Stranger, and Conspiracy is just an amazing song to listen to. The more mellow songs like Bittersweet and Angel One are likewise enjoyable. The song New Born King is also pretty fun. Just listen to the lyrics and you'll appreciate it, even if you find the idea of an extraterrestrial Jesus blasphemous. Deeper Than the Usual Feeling and it's Reprise (which closes out the CD) are equally enjoyable, if dark and emotionally charged.

Overall, I cannot express how wonderful this CD is. Trust me, you shall enjoy it. And check out their other CDs while your at it. The only bad thing I would say about this CD is that it lacks Peach, one of my favorite songs. But *shrugs*. ANyway, this is a great CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars "Decent Perfection.", November 10, 2007

Enough already with "Another World." It's "Angel One" that's the real gem here. Aside from genious levels of electronic synthpop soundscapes, what I adore about BB is the fact that they can write about the silliest things( "New Born King," ) and yet also convey feelings which we've all felt, but never thought to put into words. Anyone who has settled for anything in life should listen to "Angel One," and anyone who adores wonderfully crafted electronic music that is as well written as it is sung and created, needs to pick up some Beborn Beton.

Although they're not very popular, beborn beton has been writing wonderful music for as long as I've known about them. Truth is no exception. Track 2, Another World has become a recognized symbol of the band among those who know about them. With a mellow but deep, clean industrial sound and dark vocals, the band has a gothic sound that I've found many people enjoy listening to. Despite all the good things I can say about it, I have heard a few complaints concerning this album from people before. Some people, namely those with an outstanding dislike of pop-music have said that Beborn Beton has been taking a road in that direction since their older, darker albums. I still enjoy this music more than most but I believe that their previous works were a bit more to my liking. Of course, you're entitled to your own opinion.
