Phoebe finds herself alone in the city's newest and hottest romantic restaurant. Cole has called to say he is working late and her sisters are unavailable. Another customer finds himself in a similar situation and Phoebe is talked into sharing a table (Dutch treat). But then Cole manages to finally arrive and the fireworks begin.

But as Cole realizes his mistakes, Phoebe is tricked into the Underworld. Now Cole, only human, must journey into the Underworld to rescue his love.

An interesting story and one of the better Charmed books. I might have given it a slightly higher rating, but I felt the ending was weak. After all, the method to get Cole and Phoebe out of the Underworld would have worked just as well on just Phoebe, thus keeping Cole safe. This would quickly restore the Power of Three and enable them to handle any repercussions to her rescue.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good!, June 18, 2005
A Kid's Review
I have to say that before reading Truth and Consequemces, I had some doubts about it, due to some rather unfavourable reviews I read concerning this Charmed novel by Cameron Dokey. However , I bought the book as the plot seemed highly interesting to me.
Here is the plot:
Cole is working late, and her sisters are having a girls' night in, so on the spur of the moment, Phoebe accepts what seems like an innocent date with a friendly stranger. But good intentions are quickly misconstrued when Cole leaves work early to surprise Phoebe -- and is stunned to find her sharing a meal with another man.

Cole can't believe that Phoebe would betray him, and Phoebe can't believe Cole would even think she'd betray him. Their escalating argument quickly highlights some fundamental trust issues they each harbor. But soon they discover themselves trapped in the underworld, at the center of a lovelorn demon's plot to destroy the Power of Three. If Cole and Phoebe can't reconcile their suspicions and insecurities, there's more than their own relationship at risk!

Here are some points of interest I found in this book:
1)I liked the scene where Paige, Piper and Leo hug Cole so as to support him in his quest! It was a warm scene, written in an emotional way.
2)It was good that Cole was the central character in this Charmed book. Most of them do not ''use'' Cole so much.
3)Leo, Piper and Paige worked as a team. They were good and showed the tight bond that connects them.

Although Truth and Consequences runs smoothly, its end is not satisfying. After all this Cole went through, he and Phoebe are saved by a simple spell?!! Anyway, even though it is not flawless,Truth and Consequences is a nice read. Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Phoebe & Cole Read, May 27, 2009
Truth and Consequences is a great read about Pheobe and Cole's relationship. I am a huge fan of the two of them and I really enjoyed reading this book. It really shows what they go through in their relationship just like in the show.

Short Summary: Cole didnt show up for his dinner date with Phoebe so she starts talking to this stranger. They start talking and end up having dinner together at the restaurant only to have Cole walk in and see them. He is so jealous that he doesn't give Phoebe time to explain. Phoebe meets the guy the next day at an antique store and he has a flat tire so Pheobe gives him a ride only to find out that he is a demon and he takes her to his world. Can Cole, Piper, Paige, and Leo find out what happened to Phoebe and save her before its too late? Read and find out.

This book is full of excitement and action. Cole and Piper go through a lot in this book to try and save Phoebe. In the end love conquers ALL.

4.0 out of 5 stars an ok book, December 8, 2003

when cole calls phoebe and says he cannot make dinner because he is working late, she decides to take an offer from a stranger who just happens to be in the restaurant and stood up too. but when cole arrives to surprise phoebe and sees her with another man, he hits the ceiling. the ensuing fight between them gives a powerful demon the edge he nees to send phoebe to the underworld where cole has to go through hell(literally) to get her back. but little does cole know that his many enemies are waiting his arrival and plans to do everything in their power to make sure he never reaches his goal. this book has a promising story but it really never goes anywhere.

The book has a useless storyline.Although there was a few points of interest, true Charmed fans would NOT want to read this one again.I rarely buy the latest Charmed books because I just don't have the money but I decided to buy this one.Stupid idea.
