Betrayal and Devotion, November 18, 2003
Phoebe finds herself alone in the city's newest and hottest romantic restaurant. Cole has called to say he is working late and her sisters are unavailable. Another customer finds himself in a similar situation and Phoebe is talked into sharing a table (Dutch treat). But then Cole manages to finally arrive and the fireworks begin.
But as Cole realizes his mistakes, Phoebe is tricked into the Underworld. Now Cole, only human, must journey into the Underworld to rescue his love.
An interesting story and one of the better Charmed books. I might have given it a slightly higher rating, but I felt the ending was weak. After all, the method to get Cole and Phoebe out of the Underworld would have worked just as well on just Phoebe, thus keeping Cole safe. This would quickly restore the Power of Three and enable them to handle any repercussions to her rescue.

A Kid's Review
I have to say that before reading Truth and Consequemces, I had some doubts about it, due to some rather unfavourable reviews I read concerning this Charmed novel by Cameron Dokey. However , I bought the book as the plot seemed highly interesting to me.
Here is the plot:
Cole is working late, and her sisters are having a girls' night in, so on the spur of the moment, Phoebe accepts what seems like an innocent date with a friendly stranger. But good intentions are quickly misconstrued when Cole leaves work early to surprise Phoebe -- and is stunned to find her sharing a meal with another man.
Cole can't believe that Phoebe would betray him, and Phoebe can't believe Cole would even think she'd betray him. Their escalating argument quickly highlights some fundamental trust issues they each harbor. But soon they discover themselves trapped in the underworld, at the center of a lovelorn demon's plot to destroy the Power of Three. If Cole and Phoebe can't reconcile their suspicions and insecurities, there's more than their own relationship at risk!
Here are some points of interest I found in this book:
1)I liked the scene where Paige, Piper and Leo hug Cole so as to support him in his quest! It was a warm scene, written in an emotional way.
2)It was good that Cole was the central character in this Charmed book. Most of them do not ''use'' Cole so much.
3)Leo, Piper and Paige worked as a team. They were good and showed the tight bond that connects them.
Although Truth and Consequences runs smoothly, its end is not satisfying. After all this Cole went through, he and Phoebe are saved by a simple spell?!! Anyway, even though it is not flawless,Truth and Consequences is a nice read. Recommended!

where's the magic, June 3, 2004
thi book has very little magic in it so if thats what your after i think you'd be disapointed with this book. this book is mainly about pheobe and coles love with is very behind the times compared to the tv series plus i feel that this book ignored the main theme of charmed way to much, and that is MAGIC where was it?i think this book really doesn't do charmed many favours however if your not into magic and just want an action romantic this is for you
