5.0 out of 5 stars Another good album! July 8, 2009

I have been into these guys since 2004, and all I have to say is they have never let me down, including this album. If you get the chance to see them live, you should do it!

I had been following Hypnogaja since their "Nothing Box" hit in their debut album...then came "Below Sunset"...which in my opinion it is one of their best: emotional, hard, melodic and melancholic rock with an equal balance between vocals and music. Now "Truth decay" brings the same structures in a much softer, slower and pop-oriented approach. Shyboy sings more, and music parts have less importance - most songs are ballads. Shyboy starts to sing pretty early as soon as the songs start...while his voice is great ( reminds me of Jonas Renkse from Katatonia ) ...too much vocals on a song can ruin it. Anyway, while the album is a good Hypnogaja offering, it has clearly gone further to other pop domains. I'd rather stick to "Below Sunset".

As I have posted before, I love these guys! They don'tn seem to be very well known outside of Florida, but that needs to change. While many of their songs have graced numerous TV shows, movies, commercials, and ads, people still don't know who these guys are. Imagine taking Staind, Linkin Park, and Thousand Foot Krutch and putting them in a blender. The result is Hypnogaja!!! Incredible group of musicians. catchy, hard driving metal with melodies and searing riffs. just the right amount of keyboards to keep it heavy, without wimping out. These guys are a force to be reckoned with, all they need is exposure!!!
