A CSI/Law & Order book,
By 9rac3 "Grace" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Truth (Orca Soundings) (Paperback)
This first novel by Tanya Lloyd Kyi will appeal to CSI/Law & Order fans. At 3 a.m., the police come to question Jen Forester. She was at Ian Klassen's party last night, and a man was found beaten to death there. She lies to the police that she didn't see anything, thinking the whole thing would blow over. But weeks later, she gathers clues and thinks she knows who did it. The problem is that everyone knows who did it, but no one wants to tell and get in trouble.
This is a good mystery/suspense book, and anyone who watches crime shows should read it. But I think the book should've been longer and had more details and information about the characters. But, all in all, this is a well-written mystery book.

Short teen mystery,
This review is from: Truth (Orca Soundings) (Paperback)
Thanks to Puget Sound Council for a review copy. Jen can't get the image of the red-haired man out of her mind--the man she saw dead at a house party. She isn't surprised when a policeman wants to question her about the dead man at three in the morning. Who told the cops she was there? Should she tell what she saw or just keep quiet? Most people at the party probably suspect the same teen that Jen does but no one wants to make a stand against the bully. The writing is authentic to teen voices and emotions. It will be a hit with middle- and high school readers, those who need high interest-low reading level and also those who are looking for a quick mystery, teen drama read.

This review is from: Truth: Orca Soundings (Turtleback)
I really liked this book. I give it a five out of five rating. This book kept me guessing who the murder was. This book was really fantastic. I t was really thrilling. It was just like watching Law & Order except reading it instead. it kept me reading and it will you to. For Tanya Lloyd Kyi's first book that she wrote this was a really good book. I was hoping to find others that she wrote but i couldn't and that is to bad. I can not wait till she writes more books.
