Rosemarys baby strikes again.,

If you've never come across Peter James before, your missing a treat. This is more a supernatural thriller than a horror, and by the title of this review you can guess the general theme. What makes this a good read is the way its styled. Yes, you can guess the ending, as you can in most books once you've grasped exactly whats going on, but its how it comes about which keeps you on your toes. The ending, in truth (no pun intended) left me a little let down, hense 4 stars instead of 5, but for any fans of Herbert / King / Koontz out there, you should add Peter James to your must read list.

Good, But Not Great,

This review is from: The Truth (Mass Market Paperback)
I have to admit that while I did enjoy "the truth" the ending feels very rushed. After almost 500 pages of build up I felt the ending had been thrown togeather in a few minutes. The characters are well flushed out and engaging and the supernatural elements interesting. However for a book of it's length I feel the author could have given his readers more of an insight into the motives of the villans instead of treding over the same ground with them time and again. A good book, but not a great one.
